Cracker Barrel

First, the 5 stars are for Our waiter Cameron. He was outstanding. He gave each of us his undivided attention while taking our orders. And was very attractive. Even with multiple large tables. The Father's day wait was extremely long especially for some out of town visitors like us. Also, we were given two different times that our tables would be available. An hour and 20 minutes and 45 minutes. But over all, we had a great time.

My eggs were requested scrambled they made a small omelette and it was undercooked the bacon was undercooked im not a fan of the soft fatty pieces my pancakes were ok.. To be sure make sure you specify with your waitress how u want your food unfortunately mines didn't listen. Then she told me that's how they make their eggs like I cant request my food the way I want.

Cracker Barrel is very good. They have dinner specials that are reasonably priced & taste good. The service is pleasant & quick. They have a nice gift store with a wide variety of merchandise too. I recommend the Lemon Pepper Rainbow Trout and the Country Fried Steak and the cheddar chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed carrots and country fried chicken. I also recommend the sirloin steak with green beans, baby carrots and fried apples. It is usually not too crowded before 5pm. Breakfast food for dinner is always great too.

The food was great but the service was absolutely atrocious.. It went beyond the reasoning of being understaffed, I'm pretty sure the waitress just didn't care about our table one bit. Had to continuously ask for refills, she never came back to check in on us after our food came out, never removed any of the glasses or plates from the table so it made it difficult to place our dinners down. Just really disappointed by their service. Still left a tip even though she didn't deserve it.

Food is good but be prepared for staff shortages and waiting. We waited about 30 minutes for a table even though many were open. I guess the wait was to not overwhelm the few staff members they had. Another 20 minutes or so passed before we could order. Then probably 30 to 40 minutes before we got our food. To put it in perspective we arrived at 7:30 and got our food after the restaurant closed at 9. A few minutes before 9 we were told that they were out of meatloaf which seems like something that could have been said earlier. We picked replacements but then was told they had 1 meatloaf left but they messed up the other replacement (was supposed to be chicken and got roast beef). But like I said the food was fine. Just felt awkward eating while they clearly were trying to close and clean up. I would give the food 4 stars but overall visit was just average.

Food was decent and pricing is affordable but don't be in a hurry. Our server was nice but inexperienced. Took over 30 minutes to get our food (which it would have been longer had we not flagged our server down and tell him if it was going to be much longer to cancel our order), other customers who came in after us got their food before us because our server was "busy", our table had food on it from the previous customer and had to be re-cleaned, and when we finally got our food, it came out just warm. Restaurant and food was 3/5. The only thing I would recommend is the gift shop area. It is always full of surprises and unique items. Staff is always helpful and friendly. This area is by far my favorite part. 4/5
