Bar-b-q Boss

Do not get the ribs, they are not seasoned just very bland and the sauce is dark and in need of some zing. The potato salad was horrible. The collard greens were the frozen chopped kind but they were decent. All you had to do was put some chopped onions and tomatoes with the greens and you'd have salsa. I don't want no chopped greens! It was very disappointing and a waste of money! Go to city barbecue.

Hmmmm fish is ok...but it's not worth the money...perch is small...you should get 5 pieces of fish (perch)for $12...and the sides are small! Smh...the chicken and ribs box smh...not good needs more seasoning... I'm use to (Cleveland) a nice box for$12.. Like 4 pieces of nice size fish and lg side with a slice of bread! I have to explain this.The Food is great. The buiness aspect is horrible. Called Barbecue Boss 101 times in the matter of 30 minutes someone would answer and hang up. So I traveled 40 minutes because the food is so good to get a pig feet dinner. Got there, no pig feet. All someone had to do was answer the phone. Not good buiness.

If I had paid for this- vs someone buying it for me- I would've gotten a refund. Bbq was tender but had no discernable flavor. Seemed more like baked ribs drowned in barbecue sauce than actually barbecued. Ditto for the chicken- moist with zero flavor. Mac n cheese was bland and kind of oily. Greens were ehh, they were the one thing on the plate that seemed to have any seasoning. Catfish was golden brown- and flavorless. Hush puppies were dry inside and burnt outside. Barbecue sauce- so forgettable I can't even think of how to describe it without tasting the leftovers, and I'm not doing that to my tongue again. Sweet? No spices, no acid, no smoke. All I can think is, this place must get its good ratings from people who haven't had good (or even decent) bbq before, because there's just no way you could have and still give this five stars.
