Champy's Famous Fried Chicken

We stopped in for a late lunch. There were only a few people there so we got our food pretty quickly. The server, Nicole was very friendly and helpful while we made our choices. When we got our food, it was really good!! We both enjoyed it thoroughly. The atmosphere is really cute and interesting!! There is so much to see and pics can't do it justice. It's worth a visit just to see everything but the good food is a real plus. We don't live close by but will go back if we are in the area again. We actually saw this place by accident after to searching for over 45 minutes for something other than fast food. Take a peek at the pics and then go try the food!! You will like it, betcha...

Recommended by a friend that I had lunch with here for the first time! He said it's a whole in the wall place and I said my Favorite, let's go! I had never even heard of this place until mentioned. I ordered a chicken on a stick with mashed potatoes and it was NOT a disappointment! If you order it grilled, it clearly does not come on a stick and the waitress will tell you that but didn't stop me from devouring it! The Champy sauce is like a BBQ/Honey mustard mix that was so good to dip the chicken in! My friend said they have the best fried chicken in the game so he let me try a bite of it and I must say for a restaurant, it definitely is! I will be ordering it next time when I'm not on a diet 😉 Go check this place out!

Nice, tender, fried catfish, the fries and hush puppies were perfect. The slaw was very finely chopped, I didn't think I would like it, so I saved it for last. The slaw was incredibly fresh tasting and delicious; super flavorful! I loved it! Champy's has a very good selection of beers, too. Next time, I try the chicken.

A friend of mine talks about eating at Champys anytime they are near one. Since I was going to be near one this week, I thought I'd see what it was all about. I was hoping for the best fried chicken I'd ever had. It was definitely good chicken. It's cooked fresh when it's ordered, which is nice. The service was excellent!

I was disappointed with this visit for the most part. I hadn't visited this location before and I had very high expectations having visited the location in Chattanooga. To start the floor and table was very sticky. It took a while before someone helped me and took my order. I ordered some wings and a fried chicken plate. The wings came out fairly quickly but I waited much longer for my fried chicken. Overall the food wasn't too bad but not nearly as good as I had in Chattanooga. I was also disappointed to find out they didn't serve mac n cheese. One of the only positive experiences was the fact that I was offered a free dessert for my wait and I got the mud pie which was absolutely delicious!
