Piece Of Cake

Be weary of ordering online. Made my order of red velvet when I arrived it was not available so I then had three options to choose from. After reading the toppings and different cakes I choose white chocolate which was topped with nuts. I took a moment as my order was prepared for me to take to go. When I arrived home and opened my neatly packaged cake I noticed I had received a cake without any of the toppings I ordered, as well as receiving the wrong bottled beverage. I didn't appreciate the online service not reflecting the true available options as well as the poor handling of my order in store. I now have an awfully bland looking plain cake I’m embarrassed to bring to my young brothers birthday party.

I had ordered a hummingbird cake in March for my husband's birthday and it was AMAZING! Very moist however, the icing was overwhelmingly sweet. So, I decided to give them another try and get my Mother-in-Law a White chocolate strawberry cake for Mother's Day. That's when things took a turn... As we cut into it, it just crumbled. "DRY DRY DRY, oh that cake was DRY!" We thought the icing would make up for it...it didn't..It was a total mess. We had half a cake left over by the time we served 6 people and had to throw it away. No one even finished their slice. It's as if they make cakes on Monday and have it sit uncovered for DAYS! I don't think dry-aging cakes is a thing. Update: I was told to call the number you see in the comments just to have been on hold for 35 minutes to be told to email them! Horrible customer service! Let's just hope it doesn't take a lifetime for them to reply.

I've experienced bad attitudes (on 2 occasions) from the staff at this location. Even though it is one location, it represents the company as a whole. There are lots of bakeries to choose from, but I've chosen Piece of Cake for multiple cake orders. After this experience on 5/17, I may not ever support Piece of Cake again. I'm willing to pay a higher cost for a better quality product, but not to be treated terribly by staff. I do not recommend.

I tried to give this place another chance. I had a sweet tooth and decided to go again because the Alpharetta location is close to my house. Their cakes are the worst. Very expensive and dry. Never again. I honestly don’t know how they stay in business!! If you want delicious cakes & cupcakes go to The Cupcake People in Duluth. They are the best! Hands down!

I have used POC for every birthday celebration for my daughter and they have always been great. Today I was so disappointed to get a dry, crumbly mess of a cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday. The cake disintegrated after the first slice and most of it was left on the serving plate. Threw the rest away. Not sure if there is any QA or if it is left to chance. Feel like I was ripped off for $50 bucks

Yummy cupcakes and cake slices. We tried coconut cake, strawberry cupcake, key lime cupcake and cookies and cream cupcake. All tasted good. Clean and inviting store. Definitely recommend and will repeat. Customer service was good she was alone, making cakes and taking order. I will try other flavors next time.

Horrible customer service even after the failed to deliver a cake for my mother's birthday. I will never order from them again. Update: I have sent TWO emails to piece of cake not only let them know about the poor customer service but get a refund for the cake that wasn't delivered. I have yet to get a response or refund!!

I stopped at the Alpharetta location to pick up some cupcakes for my daughter‘s birthday. I bought a dozen. They looked amazing. When we got home and got to try the cupcakes they were extremely dry. They tasted not so fresh. It was a very disappointing experience considering I’ve had cakes from A piece of cake but from another location. Needless to say I paid $40 plus for the cupcakes and nobody wants any. I will not return to this location for my future cake needs. Pretty does not equal taste. Not worth the money!
