Jang Won

Honestly my go to for some good jjambong. Their combo is awesome get lots of food for a great price. Will definitely be one of my staples going forward. Also, their service is pretty typical as other authentic asian restaurants. Don't expect 5 star service, but I think they are nice enough to not be off putting.

I thought this was a Korean BBQ restaurant, but it turn out to be Korean Chinese. The food are fresh and delicious. Portions are large here and can be shared with 3 to 4 people. Services are excellent. All the food was very delicious and priced reasonably. The spicy seafood noodles soup and Sweet and Sour pork are my favorite.

Update 2023 Not sure what changed since 2019 but food was delicious the last visit. Recommend the 간짜장 (different version of Jjajangmyeon, 짜장면) and the jjamppong, 짬뽕 (spicy). As for protein, they prepped their Spicy garlic fried chicken aka 깐풍기 Kkanpunggi differently than back in 2019 but still wasn't my favorite; the sauce was too wet. I will recommend their sweet and sour pork, 탕수육. Review from 2019 No sure why there isn't a good Chinese Korean restaurant in Annandale, VA among all the other Korean food but it was just terrible. I think this is the one of two Jjajangmyeon, 짜장면 place, the noodles were so so but the Spicy garlic fried chicken (깐풍기, Kkanpunggi) was not good. Mostly breading and the table next to us; there's was raw and undercooked.

Better than any other fancy Chinese or ramen restaurant! You don’t have to go any upscale Chinese or Ramen restaurants, just be here. It is tasteful as equal as Mama Chang, pecking gourmet, fancy Ramen places and so on. This place is not that fancy with interior design or plating, and the price is cheap. However, food tastes way better than any of above. Quick and attentive service by Ajummas(Emo:mid aged ladies) is plus and creates friendly atmosphere. If you feel for spicy ramen or soup, have a JJamppong with noodle or bop. Kid’s favorite is Black noodle, it is savory and delicious!! Feel for orange chicken type dish ? Choose Tang Su Yuk (pork is the best). Dip in dipping sauce(mix soy sauce and vinegar with red pepper) Feel for fine dining gourmet dishes? They have tons of options. If they change their serving plates to porcelain or glasses with some interior changed, it will be upscale fine dining experience. Food is that much delicious.
