Sonic Drive-in

TLDR: 1 star. Would not repeat, even if the "food" was free. Longer version: I love Sonic. Just not this Sonic. I had to repeat my order twice at the menu board and again at the window. And they still managed to get it wrong. How hard is "Double Cheese Burger Plain" to understand? The Chili Cheese tots were barely any cheese. And the tots were fried within an inch of their lives. Literally golden brown all the way to the core and rock hard. The hot dogs in the chili cheese dogs were basically hot dog flavored jerky. You could have told me that they had been on the rollers at Circle K all day yesterday and I would have responded "Ok. That makes sense." The hamburgers in the burger were cooked in brine. I like some salt on my food. But there is a reasonable upper limit and the idea is to leave a bit of the juice in the meat when you are done. This trainwreck was the end result of half an hour of my life in the queue, well over $40 of my money and me repeating myself clearly 3 times to at least 2 different people. The only thing they got right was the drinks. So I guess that earns them the single star that Google makes you give someone. This was one of the rare occasions where I was sorely tempted to call my CC company and reverse the charges based on fraud. I paid for a delicious if awesomely unhealthy dinner. I got my oney and time wasted for fried and f#%@ed in a bag. Won't be going back.

It wasn’t bad enough that both of our cheeseburgers were missing from our order, they gave us these smushed/crushed greasy tots that were completely cold and dripping grease out the bottom and sides. It’s insane that someone looked at these tots and thought it was acceptable. I’m a huge sonic fan but this location was just gross. It looks like I’m not the only one having quality issues with this location by the look of the rest of the reviews.

I ordered on the app to make this experience as quick as possible only to be left standing at the counter for a full 10 minutes. There were 5 kids in front of us waiting to order that the staff were ignoring which had created a line of about 7-8 people. Once the kids were finally done ordering (at this point my food had been ready for 10 minutes) the lady at the counter helped me. She was super slow and it was all around not a great experience.

I won’t be going back to this location. Ordered two sodas at 3pm on the app so I already paid when I was at the drive thur window. Waited a literal 10 mins with 4 cars behind me and watched as my two sodas sat on the table while one employee wiped a machine and two others were tickling each other. All someone had to do was hand me my drink. The worst part is when the employee finally came to the window she did not greet me. When I pointed out that I had been ignored the employee said that the person at the window had walked away when I drove up. She did not offer any apologies and overall seemed rather smug. One of the drinks had a hole in it and made a mess in my car and all over my son. And of course they were watered down. I got terrible service and a terrible product as a result.
