Pisco Mar

The kitchen stuff deserve five stars. Service more like 3. Been there couple times. First time the bartender sat us (no hostess). We sat for over 15 minutes, and right after I keep staring around and see if someone was coming, while thinking on leaving the place completely. A waiter... came by, took our drinks (which were give to us for free for the inconvenience). Food was amazing, both times. Ordered the house Ceviche both times. Second time I didn't finish more than half of my meal, asked to get it to go. The server never came back with it, me while talking and fishing the wine, didn't realize about my leftovers :( Over all the service can improve, the chefs hands down. Glad Appleton has a place like this one where we can try a little of the great Peruvian cuisine.

We had another absolutely beautiful dinning experience with Pisco Mar ! Grisel, takes the experience over the top and has to be the Best Server in the Valley, Alexa the Best behind the bar and of course welcoming everyone in and Hugo, wow, what a Chef ! Avocado Bruschetta with Smoked Salmon and Halibut.

Food was really good!! The atmosphere is very high class. We had the ceviche for an appetizer, having been to Peru, it's pretty much spot on. It was very good. The pisco sours are very good a little different than Peru but still very good. I would recommend this place. But you better bring your wallet the food is great and the prices reflect that!! Great place though! I will be back. Oh the other picture is of the halibut that I had for dinner. Very good flavors were spot on! Great place!

40 dollars for something I didnt order... the scallop should be cod, the roast should be steak... it was ok but I will not be going back. Not impressed. The Sauvignon Blanc that they were charging $8 a glass for about $8 for an entire bottle at Pick n Save. The waitress was inattentive. If you are looking for a new nice restaurant to try I would try Rye also on College Ave.
