Mary's Family Restaurant

So I had gone here before, prior to this most recent visit. If you're looking for a place that will give you smaller servings of a more fast-food type food this is not your place. If you are looking for a place that will give you a very well priced, hearty, wonderfully tasting meal, then this is your place. My parents have been together for I believe over 30 years now and until the last time I was here with them, they had never been there before. I know for a fact they were impressed with the serving size of their food as well as how well priced it was for the amount they got. I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that they would return. As always the staff is very friendly, the food is wonderful, and the environment is soft and gentle, almost gives you an at home feel. I couldn't recommend this enough. A must try forsure! P.S. You NEED to try their chicken dumpling soup. 🥰

Edited/increased my original rating due to a misunderstanding of my own - but I still have to say the food is not what it used to be. Very disappointed with my dumpling soup. The dumplings were super heavy and nasty this time. I was also surprised to find no chicken in the soup. To be fair, when I double checked, the packaging didnt specifically say that it contained chicken. Which in the past was apparently fine with me & not noticeable. But when the dumplings are no good AND you realize there’s no meat, it becomes disappointing real quick. The service was good though. I appreciated that.

Service was quick, food was great. I had the dumpling soup and potatoe salad which to my surprise genuinely looked like the picture on the menu and tasted awesome. To the end, Bill was paid and we were finishing up eating to go, our server said it wasn't. Went up to see what the issue was, a nice worker there helped and stated it was. We were in a rush to leave when this had happened so it was super frustrating. Other than that for the first time trying the restaurant everything was great.

Update: The response from the owner below clearly shows they are completely unconcerned with giving a soup that is 80% broth (see picture).... I highly suggest you find a place that cares about ripping their customers off.... Previous review: I ordered 5 soups, they were amazing tasting the problem I had this time has happened twice before, so I'm hoping a review will bring this to management's attention, as I pray this is not considered ok. One of my soups was less than 1/4 full of actually food, the rest was broth.... Not only that but each container maybe has one carrot and one piece of celery, and that is being generous.... Like come on, seriously, celery and carrots are super cheap items, a bowl of soup should have more than three shreds and not too mention there was NO CHICKEN pieces at all whatsoever in ANY of the containers........ NO CHICKEN in a chicken dumpling soup..... Just the flavor.... come on guys.... That's just ridiculous.....

We went there as a family last Friday and the waitress that we got she was really bad and rude to us. I wanted to order a breakfast because I love these breakfast and she snap back at me and for me to order something else so I just ask her what is a good deal for me today she said all the fish you can eat for$17 and some changes all 4 of us order the all you can eat fish. We sat there for about 45 min after we were done eating before she came back around to see if we needed anything else just bring me bill. I will give it 11/2 stars

The Food was reasonably good . I am a Senior and was just passing through Appleton. I ordered a Senior meal . A good number of Restaurant's will give a dessert as part of the Senior Meal. Mary's Restaurant did not include this and I was rather let down. We probably won't aim for this Restaurant in the Future.
