Dong Po

We have always been very pleased with our meals & service at Dong Po. I am surprised there are not more reviews. It is our Chinese restaurant per choice in the Valley. We always share the soup & an entree. Our favorite is the Egg Flower & Happy Family. Of course, for a starter the Lettuce Wraps are delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant & warm. Friendly efficient service. Wish they would get more accolades.

So we have ordered from Dong Po a lot in the past but this will definitely be the last time. On top of having a sloppy delivery, we received our food and it tasted horrible. The shrimp in every single dish was raw and the 2 orders of pad Thai had absolutely no sauce. They literally just served us dry noodles with raw shrimp!!! I normally don’t complain as I get things happen sometimes; but I simply could not understand how they could let raw shrimp be served to their customers. What really made me upset was the call I made to the business to let them know about our food. I called to let them know about the uncooked shrimp and the manager continued to argue with me about how their shrimp is cooked. She stated that she could send the delivery driver back to get the food and I told her we had thrown it away (just did what a normal person does when food is bad?!) but I could get it together if that’s what she wanted. She then proceeded to argue with me that if the food was thrown away there was nothing she could do. She was yelling at me and being extremely unprofessional on top of everything else. Horrible customer service!!!!

Consistently demanded for a tip whenever we order or pick up our food. On one occasion, the delivery driver was extremely rude because the tip wasn't included in the initial order (we had planned to do cash). In another occasion, the restaurant demanded a tip when we picked up our order. Tips are for service staff. Nobody served us that time. We always tip otherwise, but won't patron restaurants who rudely demand it.
