Tokyo Joe's

I ordered today two veggie bowls. The usual items were not available due to supply shortage. Understood that. The many times I have ordered, I have been very satisfied but today was a total disappointment. The servings was less than usual and the vegetables were not cooked and honestly not edible. I hope this was some sort of glitch. If I were trying this place for the first time, I would definitely not return. I will give it one more try sometime in the future.

REVISED RATING BELOW: Nicely done salmon bento box. Fast food Japanese but still pretty fresh. Would go again. revised: july 2022. *they’ve fallen off their game for sure. the “avocado” in their food today was brown*. i know the world is dealing with shortages — but if you don’t have avocado — just say so. i used to go here a lot but lately the items are well below par. literally threw it away. gross and runny. my friend had the bahn mi sandwich which is a featured sandwich for summer. it was a mess as well and had less than a tablespoon of chicken. the ingredients were not applied consistently nor was the bread “fresh” and was rock hard. definitely not worth $11. the system is not allowing me to take away a star. their to go food is a mess and i’m not sure why. bummed. maybe check your orders appearance before you take it home. i picked it up myself and should have done so.

I visited this place twice. The first time I got the bowl and it was ok. I wanted to try the Pad Thai so I went again. The Pad Thai had very little flavor. It appeared to be a featured item which suprised me because it was very underwhelming. The best thing they have is their peanut sauce. They have to bottle that stuff because its delicious! I went and got a little cup of that and poured it on my Pad Thai and stepped the flavor up a tiny notch. Im not going back.
