Joy Cafe

We visited here for brunch after visiting the Atlanta botanical gardens. So happy we did, it was delicious! Every single dish we ordered was so amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Can't wait to come back. Must try the shrimp and grits and the brisket tacos and the French vanilla latte was perfect for the cold weather! Love it here! Highly suggest if you come on the weekend expect a wait and come early if you can.

Sunday Brunch was life giving! I was a little on edge with their waiting system as they don’t take reservations on weekends, and the inside capacity is very small. But after waiting a little over an hour and having our food come very promptly once ordered, it was worth it 100%. I’ve had plenty shrimp and grits in my short life. Joy’s was THE best. Beautiful presentation. Fried Green Tomatoes were an excellent pairing! Our waitress served us with a constant beautiful smile and Joy even stopped by our table while serving plenty others. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Mother and I was recommended to this outstanding Cafe. Julie our waitress is absolutely fantastic. I'd give her 5🌟 for her awesome service. And when we ate our avocado toast was absolutely AAAMMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGGG! Did I say Amazing 😍😍 After I was done I got to thinking I'd love to tell the owner how fantastic I felt and still do feel the Love in the food. We caught the end of the brunch hour here on a Saturday and we will definitely be back. It took about 10-15 minutes to be seated so we took advantage of the photo ops outside. The bacon tasted so delicious I was tempted to ask them where they get it. The granola and fruit bowl was one of the best that I've had and I always get something similar if I find it on a restaurant's menu. The fruits were sweet and the portion was perfect. The only thing I would've asked for is more of the honey Greek yogurt but not a deal breaker. The table mimosa was $35 and did its job, after all, it's a whole bottle of champagne. Lastly, service was satisfactory. Our waitress was attentive.

This place has a nice vibe and a lot of space. You can eat in or outdoors and in reasonable size groups from 1 person to about 6. I ended up trying The Chicken and The Egg Sandwich. It was very well prepared and delicious. I will say the egg can get kinda messy so if I go again I would probably ask them to fry it a little bit longer. Apparently though the biscuits are their main attraction so I would try a dish with those next time as well.
