Gio's Chicken Amalfitano

The food was good. And the employees were friendly and it did feel like it was forced. It was a cute little shop. I got a tuna sandwich. But I forgot to ask for cheese and have it toasted. They were out of pickles. This could have been why I thought the sandwich was just ok. The atmosphere can make or break a restaurant. The atmosphere was everything. The Halloween decorations were awesome and everywhere. Just to cute. I would love to go back there.

We've been coming to Gio's since they opened. Our daughter calls it her "favorite pasta restaurant". If you are looking for a casual place with some of the best chicken and pasta dishes, this is the place. The menu here has been pretty consistent over the years and we've tried most of it and have never had a bad meal here. The things we keep ordering are the chicken scarpiello, lemon chicken, chicken Parm and chicken Milanese. Orders are placed at the counter and you grab a table and your food is brought out to you. The dining area is far from fancy the casualness adds to the appeal of the place. BYOB is allowed here and that's a nice plus.

Such a nice spot to grab a bite to eat or get gelato right across the street! We got the pepperoni pizza, the crust is thick almost like a focaccia but it was still airy and light, it didn’t make us feel overly stuffed! There is plenty of seating inside and outside and free parking either in the front or back of the restaurant . Can’t wait to come back and try other foods on the menu!:)

Sicilian style roasted chicken, pasta, and they now serve deep dish Sicilian pizza in the back. Never tried the pizza but the roasted chicken is the reason to come here. My favorite is the diavolo roasted chicken tossed in a pan sauce with lots of garlic and Calabrian chilis. We went on a Friday and it was quite busy and the girl up front was taking non stop walk in and phone orders but was still friendly, courteous, and prompt. The food comes out very fast and all the dishes are served with the best fresh baked bread and an amazing side salad. Very limited parking up front and there is a lot to park in the back shared with antico but it’s almost always full there is also lots of free street parking a short walk from here.

So delicious! Honestly the best Italian food I've ever had. All fresh ingredients and my Pollo Margherita came with a cute side salad (which was also the best salad I've ever had. Loved the vinaigrette). I left full and satisfied and the food was affordable too. They had you order and then sit and if you want a drink as well, I'd recommend asking when ordering. Honestly a steal! Will definitely be back :)
