It’s charming, it’s cozy, it’s incredibly unique. Breakfast menu features traditional breakfast and many many less traditional options for you to try. Randy is one of a kind. Filled with energy he runs the show flawlessly. Our food was outstanding, except for the pancakes which were a bit underdone, rubbery and flavorless. Don’t let that dissuade you from trying this incredible breakfast joint. We most definitely will be returning over and over.

RARE GEM. PERFECT BREAKFAST. RANDY IS PERFECT- his recommendations were exactly what we wanted. LISTEN to him: his experience and time are valuable. He is the best at customer service and I love that he has no problem calling out rude/entitled guests BECAUSE he’s the BEST. SO after ordering, my wife and I were ushered to our table and our drink orders were already waiting, and they were Perfect. Our food came out 5 minutes later and it was Perfect. We purchased some chutney and fruitcake- Perfect. One word description of this establishment: PERFECT. I felt better about the world after leaving this place. You must see this extremely HI QUALITY restaurant filled with unique personality and flavor.

Cute restaurant that I found through Google. I saw the pictures of the food had good reviews and I walked over from my hotel. Met with a friend who is a local who had never been. This place is super cute, great atmosphere, food is delicious and just a great find. Super glad I found this place! I had the BLT Risotto with a Blood Orange Mimosa and my friend had the Cowboy Breakfast, definitely in the clean plate club.

What an awesome first time experience at Babs! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was even better. There is an enchanting little garden for the bees and the owner was so friendly. He walked us through the menu and was conscious of any food restrictions we had. He was such a hoot! His banter is nothing short of witty and brilliant: Previous reviews reflecting on the owners character seemed out of pocket and solely based on their own insecurities. Bab’s is absolutely charming and we had a lovely brunch.

Hands down one of my favorite brunch places in midtown. I’ve been coming here for as long as I’ve lived in midtown. The menu is as diverse as the staff and patrons which is something that I love. I’ve known the owner for years and he is a genuine as they come. Some of these reviews about him being prejudiced are completely outlandish. What he is however is authentic as they come. So if you go in with a pretentious attitude expect to get that right back. Oh and get the BLT Risotto. It’s amazing!

This was my first time at Babs, and the food and atmosphere was fantastic! I appreciated having breakfast/brunch choices beyond the typical omelettes, basic eggs and bacon plates, and pancakes. I ordered the shakshuka, which was delicious, and paired it with coffee (also delicious...not your typical watered down breakfast spot coffee). The staff was very nice and attentive, and Randy was a treat: he offered helpful suggestions and took the time to answer all questions about the menu. Note that Randy is direct, and tells it like it is. Perhaps that is intimidating to some, but I find it refreshing. I can see why Babs is an institution, and I will be back!
