Cafe 458

The reviews are accurate! Was randomly looking for a good brunch spot yesterday, and based on the reviews I decided on Cafe 458. I ordered a waffle and the fish and grits. Omg my food was delicious! My sister also loved her food. The workers are all volunteers and they were super friendly and attentive. I love that funds go towards a good cause and assist with providing individuals with employment. Don't let the interior of the place keep you away either. I will definitely be back again!

Highly highly recommended!!! This was my very first time in Atlanta and I had heard a lot about this place through some local suggestions but I was more impressed and eager to go once I knew that there was a cause behind it.....What an AMAZING experience! Had breakfast at Cafe 458 this morning right before taking off for my six hour drive back to Florida ...lucky me i was able to experience this place because they are ONLY open on Sunday! All of their staff are VOLUNTEERS!!! 100% of the proceeds go to programs that help homeless and financially vulnerable men & women find jobs and become sufficient! And the food was amazing!! It's so nice to know there are still wonderful people in the world who are motivated by the opportunity of being able to help others prosper!

This place was fantastic and such a good cause. I had the shrimp and grits (a little savory for my taste but still good) and my friend had the French toast (I should have gotten that) and we were supposed to share the chicken and waffles but he's a but of a pig... Guess I should've been thankful he let me get one wing and 1/4 of a waffle. And the wait was VERY minimal considering we went for brunch on a Sunday. I'll be back whenever I'm in Atlanta.

This place was great. I had the chicken and waffle. The chicken breast was huge and perfectly seasoned. My SO got the shrimp and grits, also awesome. Daughter had the French toast and it was delicious! I was so happy to eat a great meal and contribute to a wonderful cause. Be prepared- the dining area is small and not updated but is very clean and cozy. The food is so good though you won't mind.

This place is run by volunteers with a top rate chef. The proceeds go to a program that helps the homeless of Atlanta become self sufficient again. Because it is run by volunteers, at times, they are short staffed so be prepared to wait. The food is awesome. My party of 7 ordered the Indiana sammies, chicken and waffles, and the french toast. Everyone was happy with their order. Definitely worth the wait.

Just happened in after checking out a couple other places that had the usual brunch lines. So happy we did! Food was wonderful, had the chicken and waffles, they were perfect. Staff was super friendly and came by to explain how the place works. Definitely give this place a shot, do a little good and get a damn fine meal out of it.
