Kemper's Cafe

How wonderful and deliciously savory the cuisine and atmosphere of Kemper’s Cafe! My big sis and I entered the restaurant’s island decor one sun-splashed Saturday. Our tastebuds longed for the tropical spice of another place. We found it on the other side of the glassed-in showcase, which offered up scrumptious delights found on Kemper’s menu! We made our thoughtful choices and discovered heaping, colorful servings of food. The lovely ladies preparing and serving the food were sweetly welcoming, on their tongues a musical lilt of island sunshine. If you haven’t walked into this establishment, treat yourself! You’ll be grateful you did! 🥗

First time trying this place and I was not disappointed. I had the brown stewed chicken w/rice and beans and cabbage. It was so delicious! I ordered through UberEats and I will be ordering again. Update: I was so pleased with the Brown Stewed Chicken meal that I had to order the Curry Chicken meal the next day, lol. The Curry Chicken was so damn good that I ordered the Jerk Chicken meal the following day. I was extremely satisfied with all three dishes that I just had to try to Oxtails w/rice and beans and man oh man I just fell in love! Lol, over the past four days I’ve been ordering from this restaurant and I’ve been EXTREMELY SATISFIED with every meal! Wish I could give them ten stars! Whoever is cooking the food needs a raise!

If your looking for the best Oxtails & Garbanzo beans, then look no further because they're both here. Please note the beans are served on Thursdays!! Although you're not able to dine in the atmosphere is always welcoming here. Staff is pleasant and greets each one who enters. Many veggie options to choose from which I love to grab their 3/4 plated veggies.

I absolutely love this place . The sweet potato soufflé was so yummy with the pecans just the right texture.Omg went back and tried the Oxtails. They was so tender and flavorful. When you want some good curry chicken go check them out. The cabbage is so flavorful and the Mac and cheese was really good.

I paid 18 bucks for a medium jerk chicken. I asked them for some ox tail gravy on the rice. The lady told me only the ox tail dish comes with that gravy! Really? How about you give me an option to pay for the gravy and get it? That never occurred to you guys? Long story short-that jerk chicken it’s not worth 18 bucks! Definitely my last visit! I know no one would care if I go there, or not, but I can chose to spend my money anywhere I want, and it will not be at Kemper’s.. Down the street is Jamrock Center.. they are overpriced, but not that much( large portion is 15 bucks) and their chicken is better..also, they will give you a spoon of ox tail gravy! How merciful!

The worst customer service I’ve experienced at a restaurant. I placed a order online successfully with confirmation number and receipt. I was charged for my order on my Visa card. I come to Kemper’s Cafe to be told my order was canceled but no cancellation email or refund. No attempt to make a order for me or even replace a order inside. She used her ipad/tablet to say I was refunded ( she was cancelling the order right in-front of me) I left after the charge was reversed to my card. First time at Kemper’s Cafe and the last time! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Honestly best Jamaican food in Atlanta so far. Portions are crazy. The Mac and cheese is mediocre but oxtail, broccoli rice and cheese, rice and pea, white rice, CABBAGE, and jerk wings are AMAZING. Goat and and curry chicken is okay. The second best I’ve had is Scottish on Campbellton and they literally can’t even compare. That’s how good Kempers is.

Ordered a $35 oxtail plate on Uber eats, and they didn’t give me the oxtail! How doesn’t an restaurant give the main portion of the dish? When I called they told me I couldn’t pick the oxtail up, that I had to order again through Uber eats. Order another $35-40 meal?! Ridiculous. I was really excited to eat this meal and now I’m hungry. Great
