Barista Cats Cafe

A smorgasbord of kitties! I had an awesome time at BaristaCats during my visit in Auckland. I went in the latter part of the day but the kitties were still snuggly and amazing and I loved all the little details around the place to interact and learn about the cafe. Special shout out to the team for making sure my drink was safe for my myriad of dietary requirements; it was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend a visit here for some awesome kitty snugs and to contribute to a good cause.

They have more than a dozen cats living here! They're all adorable and some of them have been through a rough life but that hasn't stopped them from being even more adorable. There's a blind one who is just so happy to get pets it melts my heart. There's a cross-eyed one that loves to chase after a fuzzy red ball and he's just so enthusiastic. The place clearly is doing a lot of good for these cats. Only warning is to be mindful of what time you're going, since you pay in 1 hour increments and cats are naturally sleepy at various points in the day, especially around 11!

This amazing space right in the heart of the city is unreal! I’ve been considering going there for a while now & finally managed to squeeze some time in. Best decision ever! The atmosphere in there is like no other. I know how certain people are skeptical about integrating with cats but the cats at Barista cats have a relaxed vibe about them. The owners were warm & welcoming and took time out to introduce each one. All the cats they house have unique personalities, none like the others. I would highly recommend a trip to Barista cats to people who are cat lovers and even to those who aren’t.
