Happy House Korean Restaurant

We got the Ramen noodle versions in vegetable, seafood and plain. The seafood had 1 shrimp was all and the squid was very stiff thats why I gave it 3 stars. Everything was available in different heat levels and I got the medium it was very spicey and perfect for what I wanted. If I went back I'd definitely try something different

If you are looking for KBBQ in Augusta this is the place to be. The meat was cooked to perfection; tender and juicy, and filled with flavor from the seasoning and marinade. We had the spicy pork bulgogi, and the bbq combination. The sides and appetizers were great also. The staff and owner are also very friendly and courteous. The only catch is it is rather pricey, but I was very pleased with my visit.

What a weird and waaay over priced "Korean" experience. On an extended visit from Brooklyn, NY, originally from Seoul, SK; came here based on Google reccomendations. Eating here was like eating Korean if you don't know what Korean is. Gimbap wasn't rolled in Nori, hence the name "Gim", it was small little reverse rice "sushi" with bits of bulgogi meat and some veggies. Tteokbokki was weird too. Sauce and rice cakes tasted exactly like the frozen Yopokki except they added fish cakes and cabbage. Jajangmyeon did have a generous portion of noodles but was primarily comprised of oil, some black bean paste, alot of chopped cabbage/ onion and a little bit of pork. Dwaeji Kalbi was exactly what it actually is Pork Belly (generous portions too) but listed description and pricing is Pork Rib. Now Pork Belly does come from near the Rib area but from the fatty lower end like where cheaper Bacon comes from but based on the menu pricing/description someone could be led to believe "Pork Rib" is from the Spare or Back. A little discretionary disclosure should be clarified. Tea was definitely Oksusu cha or Bori cha, which is commonly used in Korean households, but not House or Jasmine as the customer would be led to believe. Oksusu and Bori are heavy diuretics and again should be disclosed. Service was just as weird. One waitress was supremely nice and was balancing multiple tables. While the other was supremely snarky spending most of her time in the kitchen or at the register. Ethnic food is in short supply here but if you have the option for home cooking or even a little hotpot in your hotel do yourself a favor. Go to the Asian market, get the ingredients or even frozen and for the love of fried chicken just do a quick Youtube how to video. Save your money and your time. Oh and the Kimchi was BAD. Not fermented. At. All. The rest of the Banchan were okay.

Huge person for Korean food. I lived in Korea for 3 years about and missed the food every since I moved away. Now, with that out the way I can continue with the review based off how much it matched the food from Korea. Happy House delivered. Let me tell you, I filled my pants 10 times over. Their food actually tastes like the real deal. Other fast food joints tried to match the Korean feel, but Happy House does it so much better. Their kimchi is also super good.

Let's state the facts Food: Authentic. The real deal with Korean food. Customer Service: Lovely. The individuals you interact with are very nice. Cleanliness: Yeah it's good. No issues here. This restaurant is one of the few good Korean places around. Trust me, you have to search far and wide for them. You want the tldr? Go here.

Ive been here a few times now and have not been dissapointed, It is amazing i got the Chicken Bul Gogi this time and it was fantastic. Dont let the exterior fool you it looks small and deciving but the food is amazing and the service is even better, Everyone was kind and super helpful. The prices are 100% worth it for the quality and experiance making this an a weekly dinner for me and my friends. I will be returning many times over!!!
