More like 4.5 stars if I'm honest -- I've been here four times. Each time, the food has been very good and the service was friendly. The most recent time, they accidentally delivered me someone else's order, but I noticed right away and it was fixed immediately. This place is great to get you fueled up for your shopping. I recommend the Carolina pulled pork sandwich with fries. They give a lot of fries with the order and they're actually some of the best French fries I've had.

I absolutely adore this place! We come here every Thursday night for AustinLive Trivia and it’s so fun. The BBQ is seriously top notch, the sides are delicious, and the atmosphere is so wonderful out on the patio! Love it!

The Mueller HEB itself is one of the best HEB's in Austin. They have a great selection of really great and healthy food here and the cafe is simply amazing. The cafe itself is outstanding and has very great food and good space for sitting, especially outside where the atmosphere gets a few steps cooler with the colorful water wall and live music. This is one of the only grocery store cafes that I'd recommend you to check out for lunch outings with co-workers, meetings, and even a small party or two with friends. Due to its location in Mueller there are a ton of other activities in the area that you could certainly go and enjoy after a delicious meal here.

Didn't know this existed until checking out the Mueller area. Quite a nice little cafe with some very nice Texas beer and food. It was a little warm outside today but the fans and misters they have definitely took care of that along with the ice cold beer. The afternoon happy hour prices were quite reasonable.

Food and ambience were nice. I had the brisket sandwich. I like the BBQ better than Rudy's.. could have used a little more meat on the sandwich considering a half lb is the same price as the sandwich.

I've lived fairly close to the this HEB for almost three years now and have become quite the regular for weekend lunches at Cafe Mueller. While the offerings are not as extensive as the Central Market cafes, I'm still impressed by the quality this HEB offers. The fact that they produce such decent BBQ is a testament to their efforts. The outdoor seating area is wonderful throughout much of the year and often packed with families and dogs on the weekend. I predominantly get sandwiches when I come here for lunch and am a huge fan of the Brie Pesto Arugula and the Chipotle Turkey + Bacon + Avocado. All sandwiches come with a side of potato chips and pickled veggies (yum!). My only complaint is the serving sizes can be extremely variable day-to-day. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are also quite solid but sometimes take a really long time to be prepared. The simple Margherita and Buffalo Yard Bird pizzas are my favorites. I'm not a huge fan of the stir-fried Asian entree dishes. The brown rice always seems a little off and is usually swimming in an overwhelming amount of sauce. The Brussels Sprouts are phenomenal and the closest I've had to what Uchiko offers. If you haven't had them before or don't usually like brussel sprouts, it's definitely worth trying them at least once.

Solid beer selection with about 6 to 8 rotating taps. Pints available for on-site consumption or takeaway options in 32 ounce and 64 ounce growlers. Good food with excellent prices during happy hour. Chrissy brussel sprouts were fantastic. BBQ sliders were a little underwhelming and lost them the fifth star. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

As far as grocery eateries go, this is easily the best I have ever seen. So credit where it is due, in that sense. Judging by the standard of other restaurants, it's very good, but a bit pricey. I think one could argue that the excellent happy hour and growler deals more than offset this, however.

great place to grab a quick bite and sit on the patio. I thought it sounded pretty strange to have lunch at a grocery store but it was actually really good. I got the Asian stir-fry bowl and it was wonderful. Really surprised the quality of the food that is prepared there.
