I came here for my Valentine's dinner and the atmosphere, service, and food quality was perfect. This establishment is a local business with a personal chef that customizes the menu every few weeks... and let me tell you: each dish we had contained ingredients that were perfectly thought out to the exact measurement. Our server was very friendly and our food came within a timely fashion. Every dish is hand made fresh in the kitchen so they are able to customize your order to your dietary needs. I am usually not a fan of seafood or salmon but decided to try the salmon en brodo and it was one of the most tasteful dishes I've EVER had. The flavor was rich to the extent that I had to request a spoon to make sure I get every last drop of the sauce. The lamb chop was cooked to perfection (medium well) and frankly, it almost tasted more similar to a steak. The smell that often is associated with lamb wasn't present, and personally I view that as a great thing. The purple carrot mash was phenomenal and paired so well with the lamb! It tasted JUST like mashed potatoes, but so much healthier. I wasn't the biggest fan of the avocado chocolate mousse. Couldn't taste any avocado, and for a vegan dish, it was good. It's just nothing too memorable and it was a tiny little portion. I overall recommend this place to anyone with a tasteful palette or looking for an intimate atmosphere!

Great little spot here in downtown that’s easily accessible with valet out front (huge plus!) The space is beautiful and they have a large outdoor area as well. The food was spot on a very good - leaving VERY full! Will absolutely be back!

Amazing spot in downtown! The only thing that surpassed the delicious, locally sourced, scratch made food was the outstanding service! Our server Brandon was world class and the front of the house manager, Paul, made my Birthday an amazing experience. I look forward to going back and supporting a great local restaurant and its servers.

I would have loved to give the restaurant 5 stars because of the staff/ service and location but the fact is the kitchen needs to get up to speed. The plating was fine , the food was just off

Cute new spot downtown on Brazos and 2nd st. Love the interior and the menu. All the food dishes our group got were wonderful, no one was disappointed. The bread and the smoked olive oil was a nice touch and the even the cheese board had a lot of unique meats and cheeses on it. Great service and wine menu too. Good for groups and there is a big outside patio.

Went here to check out a new place. Ordered drink, duck mousse, pasta and a salad. Well take a look at mousse. Look at how there is a greasy layer of oil. It was DISGUSTING. I imagine this is what cat food tastes like. The waitress asked us if it was ok and we said no and wanted mussels as an appetizer instead. She looked at it for a bit and agreed that it looked incorrect and was prepared wrong. I then see her showing another waiter and they discussed the dish. We told her that we did NOT want another and she insisted that it come out (along with mussels) and if we didn’t want to eat it, we didn’t have to. Well the second one was better and since I hate wasting food for no reason, ate part of it. The rest of the meal was ok. The salad was imo the best part and the pasta was average. Well when the bill comes, we were billed for the obviously disgusting and wrong mousse. 2 people with food and 4 drinks was about $170. Not worth it. Drinks weren’t bad. I’d come here for a drink or so and then head over somewhere else for dinner. They also don’t seem to know who orders what because we had 3 separate waiters asking us or couple next to us who ordered what.

My first time at La Volpe Austin and the experience was very delightful. My favorite pandora music played softly in the background. My waitress “Melissa” customers points were off the chart 😋! I’ve been looking for a mellow up to beat lounge feel restaurant, I found it!!! The food “ Chef 👨‍🍳 “ paired the meals very nicely and new to my tastebuds. They have a great Happy hour selection as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who don’t like crowd loud places that you have to yell at the person sitting right in front of you!!!!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Austin, the interior of La Volpe creates an upscale atmosphere with a mix of modern and contemporary design elements, including a gorgeous hand-stenciled wall and what could soon become the trendiest selfie spot in all of Austin. During my visit, I opened the meal with fried calamari, and with the addition of fresno pepper and fried parsley things are just fine, but the graham cracker crusting creates a mix of flavors that makes the dish pop in a creative way. Keeping with the seafood, I was impressed by the salt grilled shrimp. The linguini is made with a thinner sauce than most, which allows for the meal to be filling without feeling heavy afterwards. I especially enjoyed the addition of the caperberries. It’s a simple dish, but it’s full of flavor, and the serving size is adequate. To close out the evening, I enjoyed the Sweet Tea-ramisu, which complimented the entire experience. I'd be remiss to overlook the bar that La Volpe has curated. I had the Blueberry Celeste, and it was one of the smoothest cocktails I’ve had all year. From the moment you walk through the doors, it’s easy to see that this is a strong team working to create an amazing experience. If you’re in Austin and wanting a delicious dining experience or the perfect cocktail, La Volpe is the place to go.
