AMLI Southshore is a genuine gem on East Riverside! Not only is it right off the hike and bike trail with 2 easy access points, but the property is always clean and the staff is amazing! It’s also incredibly dog friendly with a large enclosed dog park & washing station! I lived here for 2 years and absolutely loved it! If life hadn’t of taken me in different directions I would still be living there! Can’t recommend it enough! Thank you AMLI Southshore for an amazing first few years in Austin Texas! :)

Having lived in Austin for a couple of months, hindsight being 20/20, I think I would’ve moved here if I had to choose again. The location is perfect, just far enough outside of downtown. The building is also right on Lady Bird Lake. So you’ve got a great walking trail next to it that’s actually over the water, the location has a great park and dog park in the back next to the river, great view, consider these guys if you’re moving here.

Pros: Lots of dogs everywhere. Dog park. Direct access to the trail. Food truck park is looking good. 1618. They do a good job of trying to keep the grounds clean (e.g. picking up after irresponsible dog owners). The maintenance team is amazing as they are friendly and quick to fix urgent issues. Also appreciate the staff's cleaning rounds in the hallways and stairwells. Never had a package stolen even though it's a free-for-all package room. Cons: Complex can be loud. You will hear people outside of your window and the droning of the bass of your neighbors couple floors away. There have been car break-ins/thefts. I agree that some of the rules can be annoying, but they're usually for the overall benefit of the complex, I suppose. Do you remember February 2021? Glad we were living here when it happened. If available, recommend the units in the newer building.

They've recently increased the rent significantly. Not worth moving here anymore + Friendly and helpful staff - Security is a big concern for me. Every single week there's a crime report in this complex. Every week! - Pool is busy Fri-Sun and lots of noises if your unit is pool view - Mailroom is a mess - Overpriced for this apartments - small and usually packed gym

Came here just an hour ago to view a unit that my apartment locator had helped me with. I realize now, we had miscommunicated some things and my income did not actually qualify for this property. I’m not upset about this at all as it’s happens and it is what is. Now, had the girl in the far left corner of the front desk office, been more polite and professional I wouldn’t of even given it a second thought to write a review. After rushing over to the property after work just to view the unit I was interested in, I was not acknowledged by anyone. I greeted the first person I saw available and facing me, she barely looked up to acknowledge, okay no sweat I’m still here for a reason, I told her I was there for a tour the locator set up, her response with an attitude on her face “right now? It’s too late for that” I told her it’s okay I would simply just like to view the unit he told me about, I don’t need a full tour, I just got off work and rushed to get here. Her response immediately after I told her which unit I was sent to look at, “it’s not even a remodeled unit I have nothing to show except a 3D image” before I could sit down she grilled me about my income and how i wouldn’t qualify and I could go to another property where it would be more affordable for me, made it so uncomfortable for me that I decided to leave. Again, not upset that I don’t qualify, the lack of professionalism is just wow! Delivery, tone, especially facial and body language are so important in customer facing services!!!! I’ve done this for years and I would never look down with that pitiful energy on anyone! No matter what position they’re in. My god how disappointing it is to have to deal with someone this vain! Do better and if you can’t be there to genuinely assist ppl the proper, respectful and courteous way, please do any future guests a favor, find another position.

I moved into AMLI South Shore in July 2020 and my experience living here time and again has been outstanding. The staff here are delightful and my personal interactions with Ana, Kilish, Adam and Danny all have made me feel valued as a resident and happy to be here. I know this compliment extends to the rest of the team as they are all true professionals. A stand out example of the quality of customer service and care for the property has to be the staff's response during the winter storm (February 2021). It was a hell of a scary time in Austin and many people's homes were ruined. At AMLI South Shore, however, we were so fortunate to have a management and operations team that showed up every day, provided frequent and thorough updates, secured quality vendors for repairs, and worked urgently to get our community back in working order. The units themselves are solidly built, and while you may share walls, I hardly hear my neighbors. The amenities are impressive and nothing beats the views of downtown and the gorgeous river walk. Based on my experience, I have already referred one friend to move in (she too loves it here) and I would recommend AMLI South Shore to anyone.

I moved out over a year ago, but still felt the need to write this review as I search for a new apartment out of state. I lived here for almost 4 years, and still miss it! Right from the beginning the staff was very accommodating, a roommate had fallen through after the lease was signed and they let me get into a one bedroom. The location is perfect, I was sad to see the lawn space get built on, but they managed to keep a lot of green space. The community is great, I've made some close friendships with the neighbors, the maintenance staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the office staff made it feel like a family. My only complaint is that it gets rather noisy, especially if you face the thorough fair. The only reason I moved out was that corporate was raising the prices out of my budget and I found lower rent up the street. But even after moving out they would still give my dog a treat when I walked by. Having a restaurant in the building and easy access to the convenient store and great bars/restaurants nearby was also a major plus. The renovations are beautiful too. If you can tolerate the noise (it is a busy part of town, so there will be noise at any complex in this area) this is truly a special place.

My partner and I have lived at AMLI south shore for about a year and have loved it. We moved from a near by complex and the value/quality here at the AMLI is leagues beyond that of the comparable complexes in the area. I am so appreciative of how well the AMLI takes care of the facilities, grounds and your individual apartment, they really care. There were multiple times I needed a few random things fixed around the apartment and they were completed within a few hours of submitting the requests online. The front office is also very supportive and helpful. I have lived at other sites where no one in the office knows how to get things done, but here at the AMLI its done efficiently and quickly. If someone doesn't know the answer they will get back to you asap and actually follow up which is super appreciative. Kilish is a great worker at the front office and super helpful! Lastly, you cant beat the location of the AMLI, living right on the town lake trail is so ideal and beautiful. We loved it here and wish we could stay, however we'll be moving out of state! Would definitely recommend though to anyone!
