Ebenezer Ethiopian Restaurant

This restaurant is possibly our favorite in all of Baltimore! We are fortunate enough to live close enough that we can walk. There are not too many choices on the menu - it is one of those places where you do not need much variety because the dishes are so incredible you could eat the same thing every time. We usually get either lamb or beef tibs and the vegetarian sampler. Every time, we leave full, satisfied, and happy. It is also absurdly affordable! The meat is so well cooked and seasoned, and every vegetable dish is incredibly fresh and tasty. It is also a true family owned restaurant, usually with multiple generations there at once. Everything about this place is incredible. FYI, it is a BYOB restaurant.

I have tried every single vegetarian meal they serve and have never been disappointed. The injera bread is delicious. If you want to eat clean and have flavorful meals this is the place. Using Door Dash I can't speak to the service, decor or ambiance. The food though- which arguably is the most important thing- is hands down delicous every time. The prices are very reasonable too.

Stopped in the afternoon on Sunday and took advantage of a sampler special where a slew of 12 or so menu items are presented where you add onto your plate which goes by the weight, 2lbs for $10 and $1 for every addtl pound; so of course I sampled nearly all the dishes. Flavors are light yet rich earthy with a hint of aromatics. Spicy dishes are super spicey. I grew up on Eritrean/Ethiopian food and my tolerance for spice is meetings its match, spicey lovers galore. So my new go to for a traditional home cooking fix. Dawit was great too, welcoming and hospitable!
