Nick's Italian Restaurant

This is a brand new Italian restaurant and bar in Bellevue, WA that serves great home cooked Italian food and pizza and make their own fresh baked bread every day. They are close to Microsoft next to Harley Davidson or Cash and Carry if are familiar with Bellevue off 140th. Who makes their own fresh baked bread and serves it with Italian homemade dipping sauce anymore? I work in Bellevue and have had the pleasure to go over there a dozen or so times since they opened to try different pasta dishes or grab a beer or dinner to-go after work. But every time I have been there for either lunch or dinner I have been impressed with their food and service every time I go there. Also I found their customer service and gratitude is something that will make their business work and take the time to thank you for coming in which is something is lost in business culture or not sincere by a greeter or something. I can't stand chain restaurants anymore after I learned how to cook and know how to make flavors of recipes and this restaurant delivers on that without a food service truck delivering their food and then deep frying it which most restaurants do no a days. It seems that the cooks must have worked at very high end restaurant to get some of their flavors. They have a tomato cream sauce they use in some of their dishes that is called an auroa sauce in their "Penne Auroa" with artichokes, mushrooms, and ham. They also use that Aurora sauce in their "Crab and Shrimp Ravioli" dish. But I have to be honest with you I know how to cook but that sauce really works, it something you won't find at your local Olive Garden. Besides their delicious pasta I once tried something from their lunch menu that wasn't really Italian but I like French dip sandwiches and it was one of the best French dip sandwiches I have ever eaten with all of the flavors of grilled onions, peppers, and sautéed mushrooms on their fresh made bread. Anyways keep up the good work! 5 stars! If you have any problems with your experience there talk to Rodrigo. I don't get into peoples business but I think he may own the business because he is always trying to make everyones experience there great. Who opens a restaurant during a pandemic? Its someone who knows they have great food and service and they will do great in business one customer at a time like me. We need more Americans like that who are willing to make sacrifices and do the hard work and stay positive for the opportunity that hard work possibly paying off. People now a days are not willing to put in the hard work like them and wish them well and that is why I wrote this review. And if you can't support small businesses getting food to-go or something they will go away and we all will probably be eating gruel delivered by Amazon or some other large publicly owned company.

DELICIOUS!! We were visiting for work from Texas and I did a map search for restaurants near our hotel. I found this gem, the food was great from the fresh baked bread, the soup and our pasta was awesome!!! I'm surprised this place didn't have more people on a Saturday evening. It's a hidden gem, if you are in the mood for Italian, look no further. Oh even the Bud Light from the tap was amazing, my husband said that's what it's supposed to taste like! We will be back!

Ordered a dinner bag valued at $18 for takeout from the TooGoodToGo app, and was shocked by my experience. I showed up at the designated pickup time and told "it'll be a few minutes", which turned out to be over 20 minutes of awkwardly standing by the door. Then, after getting my food, I was appalled to find it was literally a box of noodles. That's it. Not even any meat. How this could be worth $18, I have no clue - I wouldn't even pay $2 for it. The taste was very bland as well. Won't be going here again, and am saddened by how blatantly they lie about the value of their food and treat new customers. (Copy-pasted from my Yelp review)

If you want average food with smaller than expected quantity for an Italian restaurant you are in luck. Few and far between are the times I have left an Italian restaurant not feeling stuffed, but this was one of them. They also have a sub par kitchen staff unwilling to easily make small changes to your order. Edit after owner response: "Making it right" for me will not change the meal sizes or attitude of the kitchen staff (owner?) for others. There should never be a need to "make it right" for anyone. It needs to be right the first time.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN! I would give it a 0 if i could. Called before hand to reserve for a party of 10. When we first got there. WE (not the employees) had to put the tables together so we could all sit together. After we had sat for 15 mins they asked us if we needed water. Usually that's standard. 25 mins go by and they they finally asked what we wanted on the menu. (I noticed they were trying to do all t of online orders and the phone was always ringing). If you can't keep up with the service for people dining in, you might want to stop the outside orders...anyways. 35 minutes later they brought out some bread. Too floury, dry, and nothing to dip them in. 45 mins go by and they finally bring our salads( they still haven't brought us utensils...)1 hour goes by and we had to ask for utensils. The lady comes by and puts a cloth napkin down and puts down multiple utensils on that napkin. She said if we could pass them around and said, "theses are clean"...I hope they are...an hour and a half goes by and we start to get some of food. We were waiting for the other dishes to come before we all ate. Hour and 45 mins go by. We asked where is the rest of the food. Waitress brought back the receipt of what we ordered. Only HALF of the items were on there. So now we are going to have to wait another maybe hours to get the rest of the dishes. By this time we were like enough is enough. We were trying to be nice and understanding. We told them that we don't want the other dishes and not pay for anything. They got mad at us and said, "get out of here". This was the worst experience I've ever had. Update - got a reply that we talked to the server badly. Not the case. We were patient for 1 hour and 30 mins. At 1 hour and 45 mins and only getting half our order. Unacceptable. By the way we didn't get $300 worth of free food. We got half the orders of 9 orders. We weren't going to wait another 1 hour and 45 mins to get the other half. We had enough and walked out...

Very average; nothing exciting or terrible to report. Service was pleasant from a nice gentleman, but not complete- had to ask for parmesan for our pasta- even Olive Garden does this. Food was fairly bland. My wife had the Spaghetti with Calamari which was lukewarm but tasted ok. I had the manicotti which was piping hot but very little flavor. I had to add salt, parmesan, and the sauce from my wife’s spaghetti. The caesar salad was very basic. I did enjoy the olive oil and herbs served with bread when we sat down. Seating was also rather uncomfortable. For the price, I was expecting more.
