Do not let your first impression of their minimalistic decor take away from what really matter, the FOOD! My party enjoyed every meal we had. The tandori chicken, chicken biryani, butter chicken and chicken tikamasala. All are superb! Portions may look small but the flavor is packing that it will go a long ways with your naan and rice! Will definitely be back! This place is a true gem

Just had a HORRIBLE experience at tamarindos, on Christmas, of all days. We’re a strict vegetarian household. We have never had meat in his house, much less on our plate. We ordered from Tamarindo’s, reviewing the order 3x with the server, before placing. After we got home and served the plates, thali style, with all of the food we bought, we found chicken. It completely ruined our night, and we had to throw away all of the food and cook another meal. I called the restaurant to get a refund for our meal since we had to throw it all away, and had to wait 3 hours to get on the phone with the manager after being called 5 times and was repeatedly told I’d be called back asap. When I was finally called back by the manager, he became aggressive, refusing to refund us for the meal and saying we should just go ahead and right the bad review. It was unbelievable! We just wanted to get our money back after such a bad experience, and instead received such disappointing customer service.

Terrible customer service! They gave us an order of chicken, instead of vegetarian food. We did not realize it till all the food was served & mixed. We had to throw out all the food because we are a 100% vegetarian household & cannot digest meat. Additionally, the naan was thin & soggy and both mango lassis had gone sour/bad. The manager did not respond to our request to remedy the situation well. The restaurant was empty when we placed our order & picked it up, yet the manager claimed the restaurant was too busy to help us immediately. Over 2 hours later, the restaurant called us to say they will replace the food for 50% off on a new order, if we brought back all the food we had thrown out 2 hours ago. Hah! We will not be going back here again, and we will be telling our community to STAY AWAY. As for the ambiance, it’s a mix of prison cafeteria and dental office… you don’t want to eat there.

I placed a pickup order on a Friday afternoon. The manager argued that Friday was a weekend and therefore I was not able to order the Combo meal. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes at the restaurant for my food to be ready despite arriving 20 minutes after placing the call and the place being vacant. The food itself was acceptable tasting.

The food is absolutely incredible. We had the smoked lentil dahl fry and the flavor was unique and intense. The dosas are light and crispy and come with great dipping sauces. We like a lot of spice, and they use the perfect amount. The service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean. It was a slightly busy Saturday night with lots of takeout orders, including one very large order, but they still paid close attention to us. I can’t wait to go back again. This place is just wonderful!
