Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I came into the Belton location Saturday and got the Saturday special. I was greeted by a nice young man named David who took my order. As the order went down the line a guy named Matthew asked me about my sides. I told him. Then he said what sauce you want in a kinda rude way. Then I watched him place pickles and onions on my sandwich with his bare hands! Then he wrapped my sandwich with his bare hands! How disgusting can you be when your working with food! I seen every single other employee wearing gloves so why wouldn't he? I don't think I will be back when he is working. I didn't even eat my sandwich but my sides were good.

We went through the drove through and the lady at the window had the Best customer service I have ever experienced. As we talked more found out she is a Veteran. Thanks for her service. I love an support my Veteran's. She explained the menu so well. I wanted everything they had to offer.lol Not only did she know the menu inside and out with details of how they smoked the meat but she did it with enthusiasm. When we paid for our food she counted the change back ,which is something you don't see anymore. Lol We had to leave a good tip just for her and even spoke with the manager to let her know that she had a blessing in her employee and wanted her to keep the tip. Now to the food. Yall must eat the brisket OMG delicious. The bark on the brisket is Amazing. I do not even eat brisket but this I love theirs. So tender and moist. Ribs have good flavor and are tender as well but the brisket is top notch. You won't be disappointed. Now , I will say you should go to this location because, I learned that each Dickies have different owners as franchises so not everyone is the same.

Ordered one 2 meat plate. 2 meats, 2 sides, and ordered 3 extra rolls... 15 minutes later, and after repeatedly being asked what I ordered, I spent 30 bucks on two, 2 meat plates. Sides were wrong, and one of my plates had 1 single pathetic piece of turkey on it. I'd say get rid of the teenagers, but they were the only ones working. Fire the management. They could have fixed it, they could have been working in the first place, they are the problem...

They food is good. I love the beef and cheese bakers the best! The people are always nice. The reason why I give them a three star is because more times then not when I call for bakers they are out. It is never that late usually between 5:00-7:30. I am not sure why they don’t just over estimate to keep from running out. Potatoes are cheap. My other complaint is for 3 or 4 years I would order their holiday meals and they would warm them up and have them ready at your selected time, but a few years ago they stopped warmed them up for you so I stopped ordering them.

My family of 6 ate at Dickey's last night around 5:30PM. Pit (the name on the cashier on the receipt) and the other guy working were fabulous. Despite them being crazy busy (dealing with drive-thru orders also) and our order being large (we were very hungry for a family of 6), they always maintained politeness and professionalism. I felt they went above and beyond and exemplify customer service at its best! I hope their management recognizes what two gems they have working for them.
