Lotus Pad

This is easily the best and most flavorful food we had in Big Sky! Good Thai food, good cocktails, fair warning their experts only spice level is like a real 4 or 5 star level. Disregard the bad reviews that come from people who didn't like the service or got takeout they weren't happy with. times are tough and they're doing their best. The food comes out a bit staged because it is actually made fresh. As far as food goes, def the best we had on our trip.

We ordered takeout for 5 people. I got the Pad Thai with chicken. As far as spice level the Blue was just mildly spicy which was fine. I don't tolerate spice well and could handle it. Not many "no spice/green" options. The negative for me was the extreme lack of chicken in the chicken pad Thai....it tasted fine but for a pricey dinner dish I expected more protein. There were plenty of noodles, however. My friends got the drunken noodles and they found it needed to be mixed as the sauce was mainly on the bottom and the noodles on top were bland. There was a singular whole hot pepper in the dish which they ate by mistake. That did not go over well with them. Beware. TLDR: mix the dishes well if you're getting takeout. Lookout for hot peppers in the dish and don't expect a ton of protein.

The food here is outstanding and the service is excellent. Some reviews in here are written by impatient Karens who don't bother to listen to the serves when they say that meals come out staggered (because they are being made from scratch), or people who don't understand that when the restaurant is busy, things will take a little extra time. I highly recommend this restaurant as an affordable, delicious place to get Thai cuisine.

The guy waiting on us was really bad and didn't want to be there. Helpful hint to the owner you should always have a friend of yours secret shop your restaurants at different times to check on how your weight staff is actually doing. Maybe they just don't have an option close to Big sky for people to work. I'm not sure. It's just very embarrassed for whoever owns this place. The food was not horrible. It was okay. Could have used a little bit more spice I guess Texas hot is much different than everybody else is hot
