Lulu Wild

We had our first visit to Lulu Wild on Saturday 4th of November. We were greeted by the lovely Lauren who asked if it was a special occasion before seating us. We shared it was my birthday and we chose the Bottomless Brunch. Lauren was so attentive and her service so professional. I work in hospitality and recognise good service and Lauren was exceptional. We had a lovely lunch and the whole experience at prices from just £45.00 for as much as you can drink and a two course meal was fabulous. Lauren bought out a special Birthday desert to end our experience. Thank you for making my Birthday so special. We will definitely come back.

Decor is beautiful here and the front of house staff were hospitable considering we didn't have a reservation. The starters were delicious. However, whilst I was still chewing the last of my duck spring rolls...and I mean just popped the last peice in my mouth, the waitress came and took my plate. I know there's efficiency but this to me was a bit rude. The mains came and looked great. Hubby enjoyed his more than mine. He had szechwan chicken, which tasted really nice. Not sure if the sanpei chicken is supposed to be so sweet. Cocktails were delicious.

Wow! Some of best Chinese food I’ve had. Classic but with a twist plus great cocktails. We tried an array of things from the Bao buns, wings and duck rolls to start to mains of Honey Pork and Satay chicken. The Bao Buns were delicious and perfectly chewy and the duck rolls were so crispy plus filled to the brim with duck!!! The best mains were the Honey Pork, it was sweet and sticky and the salt and pepper chicken which was crispy. The rice was so fresh and full of egg. Only negative was that the satay chicken was a bit dry, but the sauce was great. Will definitely come back as it was a great experience.

The drinks options looked amazing. However, I do not drink alcohol, so I stayed to soft drinks. I tried to stay light with the Singapore noodles. They didn't disappoint. Then I finished with an excellent summer dessert. However, they have options for you chocolate lovers out there as well. The staff were friendly and knew a lot about the menu. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I went to Lulu Wild last night and it was a real late and impromptu visit, we got squid to start with, I got the black bean chicken (£16) and he got the Spicy Prawns, we ordered rice separately. Rice was just warm, and as the kitchen was near to closing, I had to wait for my black bean dish perhaps a little longer than usual, as it was the last dish on the table. The decor is quite classy and there are different stories in the restaurant and perfect places to take pictures for Instagram. The cocktails are amazing and the service was great. What made it stand out was that we moved around, as we thought upstairs would be better, but when we got there, it was quite loud as there was a large seated party there, we wanted more of a quiet night. The waiter moved us with no quibbles back downstairs. Secondly, there was a slight error in the drinks that I ordered, and we were given and I was allowed to keep my other drink. Great customer service! When I'm back in central Birmingham, I'll definitely be back.
