Scarsella's Restaurant

We go there for dinner every Friday evening at 5 pm, no problem for parking and no waiting. The dinning room is not that big and the table are a little too close to each other but still comfortable. We always have the Italian fish dinner (we recommend spaghetti instead the shells pasta) this fish it’s always excellent and comes with a side. Fried portobello mushrooms are also very good. The tiramisu at the end is something that you really need to try. For two adults including couple of sodas the bill is usually over $60 but the food is good and the staff friendly, we really recommend this place.

This is a great place for pasta and sauce dishes. The sauce here is really good and worth not making at home for this place. In fact as an Italian, its one of the places I eat sauce and know it is homemade. The meatballs are great, the chicken and veal parm is good. The pasta is great as well. I highly recommend. The service is mediocre, what you would expect for basic service. There is only one issue, the value, the prices are outrageous for what you get. Simply, really poor value and bad atmosphere for a large sum of money. If this place were 20% less it would be perfect.

My favorite restaurant of all time. Part of it's sentimental, as I've eaten here for my entire life, but the food is tough to beat. The world, at least where I interact with it, is sorely lacking these types of family owned restaurants as we make way for more chain shops, each one more mediocre than the last. But I digress. Go here, get the homemade cavatelli and enjoy!

Second time eating here. Both times were for Mothers Day. We were meeting our son and his wife. He lives in Akron and we live near Pittsburgh Airport. So it's about half way each direction. The building inside gives a nice retro old time restaurant feeling. Almost like going to Gram's house for Sunday dinner! Staff greeted us with smiles. All seemed very pleasant and happy. Menu has plenty of choices. Prices are very reasonable. Beer and wine available. I do believe there is a small bar. I just didn't pay attention to that. Food came pretty quick. Nice size portions and hot. Dinner salads are not the biggest, but they do the job. Our dinners consisted of Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, Hot Sausage sandwich, a couple different pastas, ravioli and lasagne. We had fried calamari , mozzarella sticks and wedding soup for appetizers. Unlimited bread and butter. Not a single issue or complaint on anything. Waitress was super, checked on us frequently. If we needed anything she was right on top of it. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a nice family owned Italian restaurant with good food give this place a try. We haven't been disappointed in two times eating here and hopefully you won't be either.
