Benihana

Benihana was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC last Tuesday night, Jan 25. There was a Promotion reflecting their anniversary party and prices. Thought it was a great idea bringing people together especially during this Covid crisis. Place was Packed. I enjoy Benihana even when prices are normal. Again, GREAT IDEA!! Our waitress CHYNA WAS EXCELLENT!! Had 9 people there and somehow knew that 5 checks were separated without anyone telling her to do that! Magical! And let’s not forget Chef DIMITRI! Excellent!! The location in west Boca is very slow moving. Long wait times to get seated even with reservations. It seemed as if they were under staffed with wait staff and chefs. Now when it comes to the wait staff I will say Our Waitress was on point. She was engaging and very nice. She mad sure drinks were full all the time. She was timely with refills and bringing out food. She was actually the best Waitress I've had at this location. When the Chef came out She was very nice as well. She including the kids in the fun. She did a great job cooking. She was fun to watch and again included everyone in her show. Overall it was a good experience.

Wow… I wanted to have Family lunch and enjoy. I actually left right after the food arrived to our table Horrible experience!!! The dishes was so small , and when I say something about it the server response was , I didn’t make this dish , so don’t say nothing to me ! What is an attitude , very rude staff!! The server was actually try to fight with me because I say wow this it so little. It is definitely not worth the price! And I’m definitely will never go back there again! Same on them , horrible customer service. It is no manager to talk with . If you’re comparing about something the server dealing with the situation. I’m my situation I had very aggressive one and Unrespectable .

My kids loves Benihana but this unit it’s always a problem. We do make reservation to go there and we arrive on time the person on the counter always tell us a problem that the service will delay because they just have on server for ALL of the restaurant. It’s not just one time it’s been over 5 times that this happens. The staff just leave you waiting for 30/40 minutes and really don’t care to what it’s happening. It’s a shame to have a unit of Benihana in Boca Rato with this kind of service.

This particular location I wasn't a fan of. A bit small and the entertainment value was about a 2/10. The chef didn't put on much if a show as expected.. I've had much better Benihana experiences but this one I will take a hard pass. Also the seating arrangements aren't covid safe so I recommend only doing this with a big party so you fill the table if you don't want to be sandwiched with other people you don't know with masks off as you eat.
