Ihop

I had a cuppa late night IHOP roast, which wasn’t that fantastic of a roast. This is not the employees fault as they brewed it well, but as they say, “You can only make chicken poop taste so much like chicken soup.” Staff were kind and prompt and didn’t treat me strangely for coming in at midnight for a cup alone while I sorted some paperwork that needed attention. The only thing wrong with the restaurant was some ignorant customer(s) trashed the bathroom. Please don’t trash the bathroom, these folks don’t make enough money to clean up after you when you’re behaving like a child.

I just don't understand why there is such a labor shortage. It's baffling. We arrived at 6am and the restaurant was closed. We had just come from Denny's, the supposed "always open" breakfast place and they were closed too. Fortunately there was a sign on the door saying they would open at 6:30. We waited. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress/manager who besides the cook was the only person on duty. She quickly took our order and brought coffee. Didn't take but a minute for the cook to prepare our food and it was delivered hot and as ordered. Eggs were easy and the pancakes were excellent. She recommended sausage. As we sat the restaurant filled and the waitress did her thing extremely efficiently. She'll make good money today being solo. Have to ask, why the heck aren't people working?

We stopped in at almost 9:30 when other restaurants were closed and were treated so well. Our waitress was the best, so sweet and helpful, bringing us lemon slices, extra side dishes and so personable! Our dinners off the 55+ menu of grilled tilapia with broccoli and rice pilaf and (husband's) sliced turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy and Cranberry Sauce were hot, delicious, prepared quickly and reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised, since we usually order breakfast foods no matter the time of day or night.

honestly would leave a no star review if i could. waitress (amber i believe) made an effort to check on every one of the three other tables except for ours multiple times and continued to ignore us. asked for cheese in the scrambled eggs and had none. when we asked for cheese to put on top she went to the kitchen and yelled about us wanting more cheese. our drinks were never filled up and when i went to have my pancakes there was a hair in them. very disappointing experience all around. will not be coming back.

I hadn't been in quite awhile, maybe 2 to 3 times in a year, but I always find the food and service to be better than just okay. That's a compliment really. Especially when it's hard to fill jobs for alot of restaurants these days. I forget the name of what I ordered, a chipotle beef breakfast bowl?, it was really good!

Please don't be surprised @ this review! You should've known it was coming! My complaint better get looked into or I'll be contacting corporate. Why is there not a KYLIE @ every IHOP.(kidding 🤣)She is truly the weapon of choice in highly stressful environments. She was 1st pleasant, approachable, accommodating & managed to smile with ease the entire time I was there. She really displayed a level of comfort with being kind under duress, that spoke volumes about her as a person. I have a feeling she's probably a mgr & we'll on her way to a promotion or definitely should be. Kudos to you in providing her with this platform b/c she's on FIRE:)

Food is good. Online ordering for "curbside" is false advertising. They have websites and texts and emails and all sorts of tech that wants to send you notifications and wants to know your location. You get all these things saying your food is ready and on the way and they will be out shortly with your food... Your body will turn to dust before they bring anything outside.
