Sizzler

I cannot believe this place is still in bussiness after my experience tonight. Every facet of the meal was terrible, from ordering to being served what we ordered. Steaks way over or under done, sides wrong, orders wrong then promised to be fixed and wrong in another direction when brought to the table. Also, see picture for the 22 dollar steak we got.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, but the service left a lot to be desired. The food was good, as expected. I enjoyed a plate of ribs and salad and my daughters, 1 & 4 chowed down on mac and cheese and fries, and assorted veggies and other picks from the salad bar. I had hoped to take home my leftover ribs, but our server must have decided we were finished, because after food delivery she failed to return again to the table or even walk by, so I was not able to ask about a to-go box.

Had dinner with my oldest son here and it had been quite some time since I had been in a sizzler restaurant, it was very much as I had remembered it. The menu has not changed in 30 years in any substantial way. Which on one hand is a good thing you are able to get exactly what you know they have. Would be nice to see some variation. The salad bar was and has always been great at sizzler. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely go back again.

We have been celebrating my daughters birthday at this Sizzler for over 14 years. Same time, same day, Christmas Eve. This year they locked the door at 6 pm when we had her party scheduled for 6:30 pm. We normally have between 20 to 30 people celebrating with us. When I called and asked why the door was locked I was told that the manager said to do so. When I reminded them of the party the assistant manager said "oh, I know who you are". Came to the door and told me I didn't have reservations. I reminded her that they don't take reservations. Not only did we have 25 people wanting dinner but there where 2 other groups of 10 and 5 wanting dinner. We called Olive Garden and Red Lobster just around the mall and they where more than happy to accommodate our group along with the other 2 groups. I don't think I will ever go back to your Sizzler! Red Lobster and Olive Garden are now our favorite places. Just think of how much income your restaurant lost that night along with the tips your staff lost. Because its a holiday we always tip high....
