Nickys Mexican Restaurant

I was in town for a conference and because I didn't have a rental, this was literally the only other place I could walk to besides fast food across the street. As a result I ate here 3 times and the food isn't great, but it was very good. It was greasy and heavy, but there was a lot to chose from. The tortilla chips taste homemade and the salsa is spiced with nutmeg or some spice that gave it a very unique and good flavor profile. But overall, it's just average southern-inspired Mexican food. Perfectly average. If you stop here, good, if not, no worries.

Let me start with stating the service was great. Abby, the waitress, was very professional, courteous, happy, cheerful, attentive and all out great. I read previous writeups and sadly enough service was not great but today was the opposite. The steak fajitas were outstanding. The chips and salsa on point. The restaurant is clean and the food came out pretty fast and very hot. Beware. If anything, I'm use to eating flan for dessert and they don't sell it. No big deal. They do sell fried ice cream though. If visiting Bossier City you have to give it a try. Ask for Abby as your waitress. I recommended management read the writeups and provide feedback. We will see.

Super fun colorful motif! The margaritas are strong and the flavors are of ever changing variety. Right next to the holiday inn so.we had dinner every night for a week. Never had a bad meal. Price is right, not super cheap mexican but you get what you pay for. Parking for BIG RIGS right close so ya can come enjoy too. Pretty seniorita sit at the bar just about every night. Great bite!
