Barracuda Tavern

Absolutely the best clam chowder in Boston! Great little “hole in the wall” bar. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. (It’s not very big, and it can be a little slow if they are busy, but definitely worth the wait!) We were only in Boston a few short days, but we made time to go back before we headed home.

I just happened upon this place while just meandering the streets and looking for a place to eat. Seating is VERY LIMITED, but I was able to find a seat at the bar. I ordered a burger, and it was cooked perfectly ! The beer selection was top-notch, the food selection is limited, but a perfect variety. It's definitely a place to just grab a quick bite with friends, catch up after work or shopping or , like me, enjoy people watching !! The restaurant is child-friendly, however, this place is, as I said before,very very small and I would not suggest bringing young children if they are not capable of remaining in their seats or are overly rambunctious wonderful kids that love to explore. This is not to say the tavern doesn't allow children, but the space is very very limited and and probably not an ideal choice for families or large parties !!

Came here for taco Tuesday! It's $2 a taco but you have to spend $10 on regular priced food per person first. Got the clam chowder, cajun fries, and 2 fish tacos. The two sides were very tasty but the fish in the fish taco was the smallest piece of fish and was mostly breading. Probably wouldn't come here again if not for the specials or beers.

I came here on Sunday for a private brunch event and i was shocked at how great this little place is! So much character and charm. love the bar tenders and even got to meet the owners and they were super kind! Their liquor license doesn't let them serve unflavored liquors so keep that in mind, their beer list is pretty great though mostly local in nature.
