Something surprising: One of the last multi-generational family establishments in the North End that isn't owned by a restaurant or real estate group. Reservation needed? No, counter service only. While they don't have the huge selection of a few other bakeries in the area, what they do have is made extremely well in smaller batches in a family operation, and you typically don't have to deal with the soul-crushing lines at the competitors. I think this might take the spot be my favorite North End bakery! The “top 3” bakeries are just too sweet and oily for my taste. This place nails it with not too overwhelming sweetness and oilyness. I literally am so glad to enjoy Italian pastries without feeling icky from excess sugar/fat. I was a Bova’s girl but I think I’m a Parziale’s girl now. Their cannolis and eclairs are so good. I can’t wait to try more of their pastries!

Quaint little bakery, an easy walk from North Station. I went there on a Thursday around 7pm, and I didn’t have to wait in line to ask for what I wanted. I am no cannoli expert by any means, but I thought their cannoli was great! I especially enjoyed the crunchy shell (probably baked fresh). If you have no patience for waiting and still want to get a decent dessert after meal, i would recommend checking out this place.
