Black Lamb

We tried to find a good oyster special and we found it!! Mondays are $2 oysters all day. We got two dozen. They were so fresh and delicious. The service was a little slow throughout the meal. We decided to split a lamb burger because it's called Black Lamb, why not? It was super juicy and the truffle aioli was so worth it. The food was so delicious.

An excellent experience! We sat at the bar and received warm and professional service. 4-5 taps of solid beer. 4-5 different oyster varieties, including one that was a 2-buck-shuck (during brunch?). Shuck was good. The black hummus is particularly nice. Pickle plate was well done. Great and vibrant neighborhood. Well worth the few minute walk from downtown.

We've wanted to go to Black Lamb for quite some time. Today, we went for a quick beer and some oysters. Our server JP, was very gracious, up beat and helpful! Our beers came out first and then the oysters, and then some fries. We sat buy the window facing Tremont, very nice. We were both very happy with the overall experience. The atmosphere is clean, open and inviting, although it is hard to see this from the outside. They had some music playing, and the vibe was excellent for a Monday after work attitude adjustment. My only two critiques were for the food. The oysters were fresh and presented well. But they were small. The other critique was that the fries were hot, fresh and presented well, although they were mostly very small bits and pieces. This is not a big deal if you use a fork, but since you are using your hands to pick up the oysters, it would be great if the fries were finger food sized. Other than that, very good job, Black Lamb!

My number one spot for $1 oysters and fulfilling brunch offerings!! Black Lamb in the South End has everything from steak tartare to $1 oysters to Greek Breakfast. It has satisfied many of my weekend morning cravings and I am always down for repeated visits. Great food and friendly staff! Definitely recommend :) -Oyster: The size was small but worth the price. -Clam chowder: great taste with a lot of clams in the soup. -Artichoke dip w/ pita chips: great portion for 3 people. I didn’t take a pic sadly:( but the dip had rich flavor and great match with the chips.

I was hesitating to post this review because I wanted to keep this place a secret. Black Lamb has plenty of outdoor seating, out in the front and to the side of the building. Lots of seating inside. The chicken wings, lobster, and a few other items were already sold out by the time we got there in the mid-afternoon. We got the dozen raw oysters and two lamb burgers. Superb. We'll be back.
