Cafe Andreou

Delicious! We really enjoyed our visit at the restaurant this week. The food was spectacular and coming from someone who lived in Italy - it is authentic and tastes just like a trip to Italy! We had the escargot and rosé gnocchi to start. Both were divine! The rosé gnocchi sauce was amazing and had the most perfect favour - creamy, hint of tomate - perfect! My husband said if we were at home he'd lick the plate! For our mains we both had a veal dish - I forget the names but one was with red sauce and another with white sauce - BOTH delicious and different flavours! The veal was cooked perfectly and such an amazing treat since I don't have veal often. The linguni paired wit my dish was cooked to perfection and was of course freshly made. Finally for dessert we had the lemon tiramisu. It was delicious - light, fluffy, a hint of lemon - perfect! We were treated so nicely and loved our experience! We will be going back soon!

My wife and I just had the best experience at this great restaurant. I read the reviews before going about the owner being rude etc. I can tell you that this was the farthest from the truth from our experience. Chris, the owner and his son Michael were attentive, friendly and engaging. The food, ambience and venue were also amazing. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I just ate here for the THIRD time over the least couple of months. We drive from Cambridge to enjoy this special restaurant. Each time the service has been outstanding and the food is always exceptional.I have read some of the negative reviews re the owner but I can tell he is great. Lots of fun and ready to see that you get wonderful service. Highly recommend Cafe Andreou if you want a great meal.

I am so utterly disappointed with the treatment I just received Over the phone. We had been there one recently - my fiancée and I had told everyone that would listen that this was our new favourite spot. We had gone once to celebrate our engagement just us two and had had such an amazing experience that we told our family and friends that we would love to host our larger engagement dinner there in the fall. We had called today to see if there was availability to make a reservation and the owner was so incredibly rude. He gave me the third degree on if I had been there years ago. I told him no we went for the first time a month ago for our engagement and I asked if they were full (as in could we get a table) and he told me it’s none of my business and denied the reservation. Said I was bothering him. Needless to say we won’t be having our parents meet each other at this restaurant any more which is disappointing because we had had such an incredibly hosted experience at the end of June. I don’t know if he thought I was someone else or what transpired but we were quiet, kept to ourselves and had a nice time. I cannot believe what just happened - I am still truly shocked.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This would be zero stars if i could. My family and I were going for an evening stroll and passed by this restaurant on our walk. We decided to stop in to look at the menu so we could make future reservations. No one was there to greet us so we picked up a menu off the console table in the lobby. A moment later the owner burst into the room and greets us as follows "who do you think you are coming in on a saturday evening without reservations. You dont look like nice people who i want in my restaurant" i was so shocked i have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I tried to explain to him we were just passing through and wanted to browse a menu so we could make reservations in the future. The owner completely disregared my comments and followed with " i dont care who you are i dont want you here im 72 years old and ive been here 50 years you cant just come in here and look at my menu. At this point we were so appalled at the customer service and started to leave. This man chased us down the side walk screaming at us red in the face looking like he was ready to physically assault us and told me to "take care of my pimple face" as ive been struggling with acne from wearing masks throughout the pandemic. Ive been a waitress my whole life and my partner is a retired chef. We have worked in restaurants our whole life and have never ever seen someone treat a potential customer this way. We live a 2 minute walk away and this could of been a reoccuring restaurant for us to celebrate different occasions, and will forever be known amongst ourselves and all of our friend and family as THE WORST restaurant in Brantford. Good luck to them for trying to stay in business. You have some things to learn about customer service and KINDNESS in general.
