Tiramisu Bar Ristorante

we were the first customers and after we placed our orders, 3 different lots of customers arrived. we were served our entrees and every table were served their meals before us. there was a man who ordered a takeaway and he got it. I enquired and the wait staff said it is becoz we had an entree. question: must we wait for another half an hour+ after we finished our entree, it's just Seafood Pasta al Forno (3 prawns, mushrooms and bacon was not crispy as stated on the menu) and Puttenesca. food was nice but customer service very poor.

This place is authentic! The menu is spot on, lots of 3 ingredient amazing tasting pastas, just like Italy! The service speak Italian and are very helpful and polite. Prices are reasonable and corkage is per person, bonus! We ordered the bruschetta, chicken carbonara and the ragu eggplant lasagne which was a current special. We were very fulfilled, can't wait to go again!!

Supporting my Own People was my biggest mistake tonight. Food: the food on paper sounds amazing, but we could not tell the difference between a gorgonzola and a prawn & pistacchio pasta sauce. The cheese came from Aldi and the pasta needed tons salt and pepper. Atmosphere: the male chef and apparently owner (Mario) was screaming during our intere meal and inappropriately commenting on customers and staff In Italian,not even caring about customers who could understand his own language. While the restaurant was full of customers he sat down and rolled himself a cigarette while commenting about the fact he wanted the people to leave the restaurant. Service: the waitresses were welcoming, but encouraged us to ignore Mario's behavior as apparently seems to be an usual practice, which is concerning as they are enabling to continue the behavior. I left with a sour taste in my mouth, disappointed by the whole experience. Never going back again!

Went to Tiramisu recently based on the high star rating. Unfortunately all I can say is that either they have a lot of friends that keep the reviews up, or I caught them on a bad night. Atmosphere is great , nice and open with typical plastic furniture for an Italian restaraunt. We had the share board entree to begin with and that was fine. Various meats , some olives and some vegetables. Could have easily have been pre packaged from Coles. But hey it was ok. I had the “Sicilian” Barramundi , my partner had the spaghetti bolognese. The barra was food that’s the best I can say and it certainly was not fresh and no, its not Sicilian. The spagetti bolognese sauce was probably good several weeks ago when it was first made, but on this night it was bland. To add insult to injury any self respecting Italian restaraunt would not serve packet Parmesan cheese for the spaghetti . After that we were going to try dessert , but they took so long to clear our table that we decided to pay the bill and go past Maccas and get some soft serve for dessert.. To sum up, yes do try it, but please lower your expectations. If its five star you are after Grappino across the road is where you should be heading.
