The Boundary Hotel

My bestie and I came here for a spontaneous Sunday lunch to celebrate her birthday. We were very pleasantly surprised. What a lovely spot. The area upstairs was lovely. Live music was great and our request was fabulous as well as an additional Happy Birthday song! We enjoy the soft shell tacos which were fish not crab, but delicious! We also enjoyed the gamberi pizza. A truly lovely afternoon. Pleasant staff. Great entertainment. Delicious food. Comfortable surrounds. Great for a casual Sunday afternoon.

We were serviced by Anya at the bar - her customer service was so good; she made our experience! We asked about the wines and she had some excellent knowledge and took her time with us, as it wasn’t too busy. She also recommended a food pairing, which we decided to get. She was so friendly and checked on our table to see if we were enjoying the drinks and the food she recommended. It’s so refreshing to have staff that go the extra mile. A big thank you to Anya!

What a great local venue!!! The Boundary has a great public bar downstairs and upstairs is a fun outdoor entertainment area where they serve great food and have live music. Our group don’t agree with how specials are noted on the board, but the food was still great. For people who come and visit on Mondays, meals are not 49% off…. The 2nd meal is 49% off.

This is a very nicely built/setup hotel in West End. It has tables and chairs out the front on the street as well as a nice garden area for all of you poor smokers out there. There's TV screens everywhere to keep you updated with races, music videos and other things as well well as a Pokie section. This pub also has really nice meals that averagely price around $15-$30. All in all I would recommend this place for a place to relax, eat and maybe catch some live music if you happen to be there at the right time.

Edit. They say that dogs are welcome below but via email this is what they state. "We are certainly dog friendly. With this in mind, there are some conditions around where and when we like our pip friends to visit. On the weekends during the evening or at some times when we have live entertainment, we do get quite busy and so we do tend to recommend guests leave pups at home during this time." To clarify they told me my dog had to leave not recommend to not be there - this is after already being there for some time. This is all new as dogs were always welcome at anytime previously. *** Dogs no longer welcome at the boundary hotel. I have been going to the boundary for 2 years once to twice a month and for the first time ever, while already there for a while, was abruptly told by security that my dog had to leave. She was very quiet getting a pat once in a while. Watched someone else turned away with their dog. What has happened? We were always welcome. I will also add that the security guy was very in my face and confronting. I asked him why as I wanted to know if there was a reason like they have started a new rule or something happened but he said because the manager said so. I asked to speak to manager and he said no. He was so close to my face that I could smell his dirty breath. I little warning of a new rule would have been nice but instead I was confronted uncomfortably like I had done something wrong
