Curry N' Cask

Our high expectations hit a brick wall, very hard. Waited more than an hour for our meal was just the start. Stock standard Indian meal flavours, not warranting the long wait or exorbitant prices. I’ve had better Indian meals in lesser decorated venues. Who adds potatoes to a prawn vindaloo curry? Seriously, avoid this restaurant….there are others in Brisbane that do serve better flavours of the East.

Disclaimer**** I have never put a bad Google review up, ever and only 2 good ones, it’s definitely not my thing. To start with - 2 hour wait…. For Sub-par food With the 2hr wait, and not even the food we ordered, the local take-away Indian down the road in Ipswich is well worth the 5 minute wait and is genuinely leaps and bounds better for taste. I have genuinely never wanted to walk out of a restaurant without paying. I know this sounds ridiculous but this was our 100% genuine experience at this restaurant. By no means was the food awful, it was just no better than your local take-away, last minute dinner choice after a long day.

The food is good. However, we were disappointed with the service. We were a group and they took one hour to bring the food to the table, which was also not well planned as the order for each customer didn't come on time and some people didn't get what they initially order. There is something that they definitely should improve.

The food is 5 stars, Ambiance is 5 stars, however last Friday night the service just wasn’t happening with seemingly nobody in charge. I’ve been a big fan of this restaurant for years and it was a disappointing evening for our group of five locals. Example. I had to walk to the bar to obtain water for the table I had to walk to the bar each time I wanted a beer and then open the bottle myself, this occurred on several occasions. One of the main courses was wrong and by the time the right Dinner arrived the rest of the party had finished eating. The following day I emailed the restaurant with no response. I understand all restaurants ca; have an off night. However an apology would of been sufficient, however I’m still waiting.
