This cafe takes breakfast to a whole new level, portion sizes are large and really so show that breakfast should be the biggest and most important meal of the day. There is such a great range of sweet and savoury vegan breakfast meals, something to suit anyone. Prices are higher than usual but definitely worth it. The granola bowl could be shared as there’s a generous amount of fresh fruit and muesli. Topped with flowers, the bowl was presented in such a nice way. Coffee was disappointing, soy cappuccino wasn’t too strong and a bit too milky. This cafe is children friendly as there’s a bathroom located in the cafe and it’s also dog friendly too! Staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful. Would highly recommend giving this place a try as I can see myself coming here again.

Both ladies at ginger rose were so friendly, warm and welcoming. I had the best coffee ever. The carrot cake and banana cake was to die for. So moist. The decor was trendy, welcoming and relaxed. Menu was very reasonably priced. Plenty of off street parking. Will definitely go back to try lunch time menu :). Thanks

Went there for breakfast on a Sunday. Beautiful and clean with a lovely outdoor area that is dog-friendly. However our food was fairly disappointing. We had the waffle, which was soggy; the fruit on the waffle was not fresh; and the soy ice cream was clearly scooped onto a separate side dish and placed in the freezer uncovered for a very long time as it has a weird fridge taste to it. Coffee was ok, nothing too special. Service was ok - just the usual.

If this is where you are thinking of going for breakfast or lunch. Stay home, you would be better to have stale bread. Unfortunately this is not a good breakfast story (not even the tap water is good) I will start off by saying this is a friendly, well decorated cafe, which looks family owned a nice touch. However I have to say this is the worst breakfast I ever had and would much prefer Qantas plane food. I wont berate further than this but below are a few constructive criticism for the owners/managers. I will say the coffee is average and deserves 2.5/5 stars: 1. Menu is very confusing 2. Food is awful 3. If you call bacon crispy on the menu, ,make it crispy 4. CAPSICUM RELISH IS NOT Sweet and Sour sauce (that taste like its from a bottle). It was smothered on my breakfast and was not appetizing. THE WORST THING ABOUT THE BREAKFAST. Sickly sweet. I don't think this is a "thing". 5. Size of meals and ingredients is very very small. Potato rosti (terrible) flat as a pancake and size of a coffee cup in diameter, "smashed avo" diced avocado about 4 small chunks, canned mushrooms x 4, cheap Turkish bread about 2cm wide with gross butter already melted, and not in a nice way. The size of the meal does not have to be huge, but it does not have to look and feel cheap. 6. Cheap, ingredients feel cheap and portion sizes are cheap. 7. My water tasted very powdery and metallic. It was disgusting. Admittedly it was probably the first glass poured from the tap, so it was probably gross sediment from the pipes. But the staff should pour a glass every morning and relieve anything stale. It was utterly foul. Tips 1. Change the menu, get a new chef and get some professional advice from seasoned professionals who run successful cafes in Brisbane. 2. Talk to your target market, get inspired, dream big 3. Drop the sweet and sour sauce it is disgusting Unfortunately this means I will not be recommending this place to friends. I am really sorry to say this, but it is the worse cafe I have ever been to. The bar/restaurant wasn't amazing that was there previously, but my god it was a thousand times better than what is there now.
