Merlo Coffee

Asked for 2 Large Flat Whites, got the coffees but the the milk as you can see in the picture was burnt! It was nowhere near 60 or 65 degrees. My girlfriend dropped hers it was that hot. Merlo I know people may like it extra hot but we did not. You should only make it extra hot if it's requested! It may have been the best store in 2020, but this is 2022 get your game together!

This tired stressed mumma felt so looked after by the Merlo team today. I swung by with kids in tow to get some beans. Offered a coffee (mindful of my allergy) and big kid got a complimentary baby chino too. Staff (Bronte I think?) was beautifully kind and engaging with my kids. And it was a delicious coffee and perfect heat for a baby chino. Thank you!

I have bought coffee from Merlo Toowong every week for the last 5 years and drink it when I go shopping through Coles. Merlo coffee is excellent. This week we wanted to sit and have a coffee with my partner. We walked in to see of any available seats and then my partner go to seat first and I ordered the MEN staff at 9:45 a.m. ask my partner go out straight away !!! This is so terrible service I never had before. here was no indication at the order counter line who is ordering takeaway and who is ordering to sit down. One person was not allowed to find a seat while the other person ordered. The MALE worker was non-explanatory, non conversational, with out options and unsmiling. Extremely disappointing customer service and extremely poor system, whereby you are treated like a child.

On Sunday I was in a rush and needed a coffee so I ordered for a can of cold brew. It wasn’t until after I paid that the staff member told me that they didn’t have it in stock. I didn’t have to time to wait around for them to amend the order so I had to leave. Honestly I think that if I had the time to stick around a refund or another arrangement would be worked out however I strongly feel that it is unfair to accept payment for a product that is not in stock.

Poor customer service. I and my partner came to order coffee. My partner lined up to order and I was sitting down at the table. A men staff came out and told me not to sit until I ordered. BUT the next table, the wife sat down and her husband ordered at the counter. What the rule is ! Then I came to counter and my partner already finished the order. So I am ELIGIBLE back to the table right? But then the guy told me again: HE ALREADY RESERVED TABLE FOR SOMEONE ELSE within 1 min. What ‘s a joke? I could not sit before ordering but others can I ordered and came back in 1 min then table RESERVE for someone else when I did not see anyone sit on the table. Come on, if you do not want to serve customers, let me know then I can go away. Speaking so rude to customers.

Service with a smile is always a great way to start my day. Handy location right outside Coles, great coffee and really friendly & helpful staff. I do suggest you park on the top level, which always has more available parking, and take the escalator down a few levels to Merlo Coffee. love the seating arrangements, an intimate community vibe without feeling crammed in. You can order takeaway express coffees too. Definitely a place I will head back to whenever I hit the Toowong Mall.
