Great coffee and great service. Food was good as well and also reasonable value. I haven’t ever experienced the bad service that other reviewers talk about, always been courteous and friendly. Scrambled eggs with salmon is unusual, it’s all mixed in together on the plate, tastes good but looks a bit odd.

Great place! Giving 4 stars only because I haven't tried the food menu yet but will update once I eat there. My dirty chai was delicous. Amazing value. Dirty chai, small cookie and a bottle of water for $4.00! Inside is attractive. Outside was nice in the sun but the footpath is on a bit of a slope. Friendly, efficient service. Will definitely be going back.

Great coffee, fast and efficient service. If you're looking for a great tasting coffee, a complimentary water, and some delicious food then give this place a try. They take efficiency to the next level with service personnel taking orders in the que. Before you know it, your coffee and food is ready to go and you're able to get on with your day. The staff are always friendly.

I have gone to this place regularly over the last few years, mainly on weekends. The coffee is excellent, the service from the girls there is excellent. They are always so friendly and cannot do enough for you. I sometimes feel sorry for them, because the place gets busy at times, and they sometimes seem to be understaffed, but the staff work their butts off trying to ensure excellent customer service. I have just seen some reviews about the poor attitude of the manager. I am not sure who these customers think the manager is. The only staff person that I have seen there with average to below average customer service, is the guy that works there. He never has seemed keen to lower himself to happily serve a customer. I have seen him just stay in the kitchen area, doing nothing when there are tables to be cleared, and on every occasion, it is the female manager and other female staff that do more to carry his slackness and on every occasion with a friendly manner. (Not trying to be sexist, but this is what I have observed at this place on more than one occasion). I have not been able to get to Monk & Grind in the last 3 weeks, so maybe things may have changed after Feb 2019, but I would highly recommend this place. I was telling people that I worked with what a great place it was to go to and interestingly though, the guy at work said that he doesn't go to Cafe 63 franchises anywhere because he doesn't like how they pay and treat their staff ...an interesting comment I thought. I would hire any of the female staff that work at Monk & Grind if I wanted loyal, friendly, hardworking staff. The only weakness of this cafe that I see is that their range of food is not that great. eg. I can't get mushrooms on my breakfast order, but the place is very reasonably priced.

Ordered the waffles and a latte The waffles had a fridge taste, the ice cream was more water then cream and the bacon was overcooked. The cafe didn't have almond milk on a Saturday morning. The staff were rude constantly and just overall wasn't a good time. The only perk was it was decently priced and had a nice atmosphere.
