Go Sushi Chermside

Used to be good but my biggest concern with this shop is that the sushi rolls are rarely cool, let alone cold. Their sushi rolls are almost always close to room temperature and that makes me nervous especially since many of their rolls contain raw fish, chicken and meat. The sashimi fridge looks more likely to have cold meals, but not sure. The price is okay but for some reason I have an allergic reaction to their sushi that I get at some other Sushi places. I am not sure what triggers it but I just know I can’t eat their sushi because my throat closes up and I struggle to breathe!!! (Probably rare but mentioning it just in case someone has a similar reaction?) They have brown rice sushi roll options which I think is great as long as the mix that they use for the sushi rice is healthy too.

I have never ever had someone, let alone someone in the service industry, talk so poorly to me before. I genuinely almost left in tears after the service I received here. The guy who served me spoke to me in the most condescending manner when I was confused about the ordering process, then proceeded to talk down to me during the rest of my ordering. I will never come here again because of this, which is unfortunate because I enjoyed the sushi. The worker was a young, white slim male working on Sunday at 1:30 pm. Really ruined the rest of my afternoon.

When you have so many competitors in a shopping centre, you would expect freshness. The sushi rolls were anything but fresh, which resulted in us both having food poisoning from the salmon sushi rolls. We won't be eating at this sushi again. The walk to the other end of the other end of the shopping centre for fresh sushi is well worth it. It's a shame.

Rice is always uncomfortably warm, even in raw fish rolls. Service is average every time I've been there they have ranged from totally ignoring me, to messing up my order even after I've corrected them several times to straight up giving my food to other people, to putting my rolls in a bag they used then took the food out of. Also with the price rise you're better off at sushi hub which has bigger rolls for the same price. Do not trust vegetarian options as I have found chunks of fish and chicken mixed into the rice at various times. Unfortunately this is the only place near my work that can do quick gluten free food, but they have inspired me to start packing lunch.

I love this store. On Sunday I had a bad day (Apple store need I say more) I went to this store I grabbed a box of sushi asked for extra ginger and they always come through for me, sat down. My day did not magically get fantastic but it was like I was at an old friends place for lunch. The food is always good they make an effort. My son eats messy and I try to clean up after him but the staff are always like “it happens never mind”with a genuine smile. Thank you
