The salmon is the freshest and best from any sushi place I've ever been to, and as a sushi fan I've tried a lot! We go here at least once a week and find it excellent. There is great variety on the train, enough that I rarely have to order what want as it's there. Sundays all plates are $3.50 which makes it excellent value! Staff are really friendly.

Looks dodgy asf when you look at store and decor... But the food is really good and I have never tasted better deep fried ice cream.
Come here just for the tempura ice-cream. It will be a very well spent $5.50!!

Not too bad. Nothing to write home about. If you’re in the area and feel like sushi, sure, go. But don’t go out of your way.
Meagre sushi portions, never great presentation, dingy lighting.

The food is delicious, at very decent prices.
However, the atmosphere is dull and the place itself is super outdated. They're still using old, scratched up plates and plastic covers for the sushi, plastic takeaway containers for dine-in meals, etc. I've kind of avoided it for a better part of a year due to the look of the place (what got me inside was wanting to try their bao, which was great).
They're also a bit of a mishmash of cultural foods (Japanese and Vietnamese), which I think is pretty unique!
If Sushi Railway read these reviews, I'd highly recommend rebranding/renovating the store. Your storefront and interior should match your amazing food! ☺️

Really didn’t like this place. The train was nearly empty, as were the seats. Bright fluor lights ruined the atmosphere. I know it’s an open kitchen, but I don’t want to sit facing a bowl of raw chicken while I eat dinner.

Bad customer service. Ive ordered a 40piece platter and the lady gave me 4pcs of small pieces of condiments. When I asked for more she was very rude and giving me a very odd look as if I have to be contented with what she gave.

Lovely food and lovely staff. Sushi Railway is often on the menu for lunch, being in such a convenient location. More then happy to point people in their direction!!

Only had chicken and avo dishes on the line, service was quite slow even though it wasn't busy.
Sushi train at Canon Hill or Sushi Kiyo at Coorparoo is 100× better.
