Hong Kong Barbeque

Place seems to focus mainly on their brisk takeaway business, however my friends and I decided to dine in a few weeks ago. We were surprised with the large variety of dishes available, so decided to branch out from the stereotypical Sweet & Sour Pork or Beef & Black Bean Sauce ;-) Standouts include the Fried Eggplant (which has a delicate, crispy texture) and the Shredded Beef - tastes like heaven! Friendly and attentive service - will be back again for sure :-)

Kind of accidentally visited this place, thinking it was Leon's Chinese. Got this vibe from the place that it could be risky to dine there, but putting fear aside we ordered. I ordered the Won Ton Noodle soup and it was, well, OK. The thing that didn't impress me was that the Won Ton parcels had hidden prawns with the intestines still present. I had to pick them out of each one: disgusting! There was calamari in the soup but it was rubber-band tough and didn't taste so fresh. Dining options are pretty terrible in Lutwyche, but I'd strike this venue off my list if I had a choice.
