Mr. Do's Vietnamese Street Food

Really disappointing. Got bahn mi and dim sims. The dim sims are really bad. Bought 4 and not even one got finished. Bland pasty filling and doughy undercooked pastry. I'm sure they're straight from a packet. The bahn mi tasted "ok" but there were a total of 5 tiny, chewy pork belly of the stale break roll. It wasn't terrible but I can confidently say it was the worst bahn mi I have had. Definitely avoid this place. They are priced as if they can cook, but they can't.

They do all the Vietnamese classics and it is more expensive and less tasty than other places. The Banh mi does not have very much filling but I did like the pickled veg they had in it. The noodle salad bowls are predominately iceberg lettuce with very little herbs in it. The lemongrass beef is tough but the peanut addition adds a great crunch. Overall it was a decent lunch. Wait times can be long during peak times.

I struggled finding good Vietnamese food moving from the valley to the Southside. But I have finally found a good Vietnamese eatery after visiting many. I love the beef bahn Mi and the beef vermicelli noodles. I read previous reviews complaining about the wait times etc but that means that they’re cooking the food fresh, unlike other eateries that reheat the food - If that’s your complaint then goto Maccas.

This is a difficult place to review.... Their fried rice and noodle salads are to die for. The food is really delicious and has me thinking about when I will be able to eat their food again soon. However, the wait times on food are unreasonably long. I waited 40 minutes for the best fried rice I have ever had. Went back a couple of days later and experienced the same yummy food after a similar wait time. Both experiences were during low volume times. Please Mr Do, serve your food in a timely manner so that I can I enjoy it without the frustration of the long waits. Seriously... the best chicken fried rice I have ever had.

Tucked in food court at Westfield Carindale, Mr. Do's provide good Vietnamese food options. I tried their Banh Mi's which were really tasty eventhough the filling was lesser than other banh mi's places. Slightly pricey if you are willing to pay for good taste. Hate it when meal delivery guys get prioritized over your orders but i guess thats the new norm.
