Nando's

Couldn't order online because they said they were having issues with the app, even though other stores seemed to be able to take online orders. Ordered takeaway for 8 ribs meal with hot sauce, extra basting, and a 1/4 chicken meal with mild sauce, and I even had the order typed on my phone screen to show the server to make sure I got all the details right. Somehow ended up with 6 ribs with mild sauce, 1/4 chicken with lemon and herb sauce, and didn't even get a serviette in the takeaway bag! The floors are also quite greasy and slippery, so I would advise against anyone who would like to keep their ankles intact not to go in.

I USE to rate this and most Nando's 10 stars, and then some fool came up with online/scan code, order only. 2x at 2 stores I walked in to get lunch when I previously thought I was lucky to be going past and get my favourite take out but now Nando's I'm graciously giving 3 stars purely for the previous decades of being my no1 go to take out....now you're my AVOID franchise because they will not serve U if don't scan their stupid code or don't have your phone with you. Disgusted with being rudely turned away here and Morningside. Wake up Nando's . Rule of business NO , never turn away a paying customer ... especially a loyal 1 because of some stupid new idea.

As a fast food place, I expected hot food fast. Unfortunately in this joint, takeaway orders get lost in there. For two whole lemon & herb chickens cut in 8s took me 30 mins until I decided to ask about my order. Turns out mine had been shelved because they prioritise dine in customers. Thankfully the chicken is still warm and they got my order right.
