Bertha's Pizza

I came here with my sister on Saturday after being at The wave. The pizza was delicious and I loved my combination I had - can't remember the name. I was so impressed with with the pesto mayo too - my sister ordered it i practically ate it all. Seems like a reliable pizzeria place with delicious toppings.

We had a lovely meal here to celebrate my son's A levels. So nice to see a more unusual selection of pizza toppings & a sourdough base- the special with slow cooked lamb & creamed feta was delicious, the Margarita was simple & tasty and the pork was also really good. Very friendly & relaxe atmosphere - we'll definitely be returning.

Don't normally enjoy a whole pizza to myself, just not one of the pizza loving people...However... On visiting this place, enjoyed a really lovely spicy and sweet pizza that was mind blowing. Thoroughly recommend, service was prompt and friendly, good was very very good, and if you are a pizza lover then you're in for an even better treat, it almost turned me into a pizza lover, but I know they won't all be as good as this!

I've eaten at Berthas 3 times over the last few years. Each time has been perfectly unique and incredible. From trying my first ever non tomato topped pizza, which was life changing, to there outlandish but delicious gelato flavours - Kellogg's crunchy nut being a particular favourite so far. I would argue there speciality wood fire sourdough pizzas are unmatched anywhere in the UK. The drinks are regularly updated and delicious. Everything I love about Bristol as a city is represented within the team that work there. They are welcoming, friendly and non judgemental. Everyone chats to you and they work tirelessly to give you the best dining experience possible, and there passion for what they serve is palpable. I give thanks to the culinary gods establishments like Berthas exist.

Genuine 5 out of 5 for everything. I don't usually post unless I really feel like I have to and I felt like I just needed to do thus place justice. Staff are friendly and couldn't do enough for you. It's in a gorgeous little location. It was the freshiest pizza 🍕 I've EVER tasted and above all. Extremely reasonable priced. If I come sum it up in just a few words Berthas makes Dominoes look like a absolute joke. Best pizza ever seriously.

Thank you for such an amazing experience at Bertha's Pizza. It was the perfect way to kick off our company get-together. You went above and beyond for our private hire. From the outstanding customer service (planning and on the night) to the amazing food (by far the best pizza in Bristol)! Your attention to detail was fantastic. It was more than we could have asked for. I will be back very soon for more delicious Pizza.

With the rise of quality pizza places, the small differences are what make a good pizza a great pizza. Bertha's is a good pizza place, all the elements are there, good pizza oven, quality ingredients, good cheese. But unfortunately the slight lack of crispness to the base means that each slice fails to have that little bit of snap, which makes the beautiful dough just chewy. This combined with the ever so slightly too watery tomato make the the pizza floppy. Please don't take this to mean that this is a bad pizza, it is very good. The cheese is excellent, the tomato has beautiful flavour and is thick (and a bit watery) and the base has incredible charring which gives a wonderful flavour.
