Wonderful roast. The potatoes and gravy were each served separately so you could control the gravy and not make the plate too soggy! Meat was cooked perfectly. One of the best roasts I've had in Bristol!

We visited for Sunday lunch and the food was delicious, one of the best Sunday lunches we have had out - and there have been many! Beef was perfectly rare 😋. Couldn't resist the creamiest of mature cheddar for dessert!

Great pub and location. Pub is really well maintained, nice beer garden. The roast here I would definitely recommend, had the beef, was really soft and tasty, roast potatoes were crispy and soft on the inside. Gravy was nice and thick, Yorkshire pudding was nicely cooked. Cauliflower cheese was amazing.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. We ordered everything on the menu and every single dish was perfection. Newstead is a genius in the kitchen and the service from Caitlin was superb. I encourage anyone to travel to Bristol just for this experience.

Lovely little place, went for a roast , best roasties (potatoes) I've had in a long time , and as we all know the roastie makes the rest dinner.

The food here was excellent, wonderfully presented and tasted even better. The chef clearly takes a huge amount of pride in their work. Will definitely be going back here in the future!

I have to say this place impressed me. It is probably the best place for a roast in Bristol. I got the beef and it was simply delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right with all the trimmings. The staff were very friendly and the atmos was amazing. I really recommend this place. 🤤🫠

Very nice lunch with a friend. Beautifully decorated interior, sat by the lovely festive, fireplace!
Very quiet when we got there about 1:30pm so not much atmosphere, but great for sitting and having a chat!!
I enjoyed my chips and smoked salmon cornets, very pricey though.
Would definitely go back in the evening to try a main meal!
