Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill

What a fancy place! Lovely interior in an former Civil War empire complex. Atmosphere is really lovely. Very friendly service, delicious food. Choose from a variety of different dishes, good to share, kind of tapas style. But you can also have a 20 oz rib eye steak. After a year and three months back again. Summer under Brooklyn Bridge. Seated outside, which is it not that noise. The dishes were fabulous again, only the short ribs were a disaster. Not soft, pretty fatty. Service friendly, drinks good. Always worth to visit.

Was in the City for the weekend with a friend who is local (but hasn't been before) and another friend from Texas. Local friend chose Sugarcane for our Sunday Brunch and we were all very happy with her choice We were seated promptly at an outside table, and our server was attentive throughout the entire meal. Drinks were delicious, as was the food. Our server was knowledgeable and made great suggestions when asked. The weather was perfect and the view outside couldn't have been better. Don't know when I'll be back next, but my local friend will definitely return in the future. (Oh, and all the decor was beautiful and the restrooms clean.)

Excellent restaurant in downtown Dumbo. The food is really tasty and there are tons of choices. Lots of great cocktails to go along with it too. The service was just alright but I'm guessing it was just an off night. I was also a little bummed that they were out of a couple things on the menu, but it's bound to happen at a popular spot in a highly trafficked area. Eat outside. You won't regret it.

Excellent. It's pricey but worth it. I highly recommend the smoked fish dip, bone marrow, and rum old fashioned. The pig ear was good but a little sweet for my taste and the duck waffle was a great twist on chicken and waffles but difficult to eat. Service was pleasant. I will most likely dine here again in the future.

Food was great, every plate was very tasty, I like the fact that they have two different kitchens, raw and cooked. The tuna tartare, the lamb chops and the waffles were excellent. Need to improve on beers and wine getting a bigger list. They had live music which was good but extremely noisy. Luckily they changed us to another table, very kind service. High chair availabe for kids but no diapper changer. Definitely will come back.
