Golden Krust

Went back to this restaurant in March 2022 and nothing changed, this time I was given the same food with less of everything, the price was also higher. (The below comment is 2020) Don't try getting breakfast here between 7- 8 A.M.. Many breakfast items are finished before 10 A.M. or they didn't make it yet. The business opens way to late in the morning. Mainly, i will get a fish lunch/dinner which i stop getting because on most occasions there's no plain or fish gravy, when you ask for extra plantain or the onions mixed with sweet peppers so you can flavor the food, it's normally a rude response. Here's my most recent photo as of 2020, this was July. The sever looked at me and said "other people have to get". And yes i was as humble as i came in, paid my $11+ and humbly walked out.

If you look forward to be treated like garbage by your own people in your own neighborhood, then by all means go to this location of Golden Krust. If you want to be treated with a kind smile and a simple but genuine “good morning” just walk 4 doors down to Bruce’s. Truly disappointing that they can’t find nicer people to serve people food.

Well the service was swift and friendly I guess being that this was the only customer in there at the time. However the fact that I went in there after 5pm got home and settled....heated my food up to eat around 9 and the rice was sour it smelled crazy 21 dollars wasted on oxtail and sour rice and peas

Paid $18 for the oxtail meal which was disappointing because I only had 3 oxtails and the rest was bones. The good thing is the oxtails was tasty and soft which is probably why I had bones, cause all the meat fell off. When I checked my receipt I noticed the juice was $4.50 which I wasnt happy with cause usually juice is around $2.00. I never paid $4.50 for 1 bottle of juice. I also noticed a Non cash charge (4.0%) on my receipt which it would have been nice to be made aware of that. Besides all the problems, the food was good.

A few hours ago I purchased a curry chicken and fish dinner and I was very disappointed. This was especially because I bragged that the food was good. My mother's food was not edible because it was submerged in a pool of gravy with literally two pieces of chicken and my son was given a piece of fish as opposed to the whole fish we paid for. Not sure why this was the service we received but it definitely reflects badly on the restaurant.

I only ever order the beef patties and they are delicious. I've also gotten the fried shrimp and fries recently and it was very good. The issue with this place is the workers are slow as hell. Lines could be long and two people could be at the registers and it'll still take forever to make your order. And when you get to the front, the servers take their sweet time to get you your food. Also they have very sour faces and nasty looking attitudes. Aside from the horrible atmosphere, good food.
